Pam's POV

I opened my eyes a bit to see all of the kids surrounding my hospital bed. I felt weak and tired. Just like I felt when I died the first time.

"Mommy."

Ethan whined as he wrapped up next to me.

"I'm right here dude."

I whispered as I kissed the top of his head.

"I don't want you to leave Mommy! Don't leave me with him!"

Ethan yelled as he looked at Fergal and back at me.

"I'm sorry bubs. I'm always gonna be watching you. You'll never be alone."

I whispered to him as I looked up at Fergal. He looked horrible. He looked tried and his face is all red.

"Get some rest."

I said as I placed my hand on his cheek.

"I'm not taking my eyes off of you for a second."

Fergal said as he placed his hand on mine. I sighed as I closed my eyes and just took a deep breath. Maybe I shouldn't leave here.

I smiled as I felt Fergal run his hand through my hair and contained singing the song that we loved to dance to.

"Baby, I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight
Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I'll share her home
I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we're so in love
Fighting against all odds
I know we'll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I'll be your man
I see my future in your eyes."

I grabbed Fergal's phone and turned the music off.

"Let me sing a song for you. And listen to the story behind it. Truly listen to it."

I said as I turned Just A Dream by Carrie Underwood on.

"It was two weeks after the day she turned eighteen
All dressed in white, going to the church that night
She had his box of letters in the passenger seat
Sixpence in her shoe
Something borrowed, something blue
And when the church doors opened up wide
She put her veil down trying to hide the tears
Oh she just couldn't believe it
She heard the trumpets from the military band
And the flowers fell out of her hands
Baby, why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I can't even breathe
It's like I'm looking from a distance,
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, he's not coming home now,
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream
The preacher man said let us bow our heads and pray
Lord please lift his soul and heal this hurt
Then the congregation all stood up
And sang the saddest song that she ever heard
Then they handed her a folded up flag
And she held on to all she had left of him
Oh, and what could've been
And then guns rang one last shot
And it felt like a bullet in her heart
Baby, why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I can't even breathe
It's like I'm looking from a distance,
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, he's not coming home now,
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream
Baby, why'd you leave me, why'd you have to go
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
Oh I'll never know
It's like I'm looking from a distance,
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, he's not coming home now,
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream."

I took my last breath to sing the final words.

"Oh, this is just a dream
Just a dream."

Flatlined.

Fergal's POV

"No! Someone save her!"

I yelled as doctors came into the room.

"We can't. She signed a DNR."

"Fuck the DNR! Save her!"

I yelled in the doctor's face. He nodded as a nurse took me to the waiting room and the doctor tried to save Pam.
