OH BOI.

Ever since Captain Hardrock was released, there were fans who were like.

“OH NO! Now I don’t know what to ship!” Which...I guess it’s okay. I won’t judge.

“Oh shit, Luka’s hot.” I understand, friend.

“FUCK!!! I’m starting to like this ship.” It’s aight.

“Adrien who?!” BITCH WHAT THE FUCK!?

Yo seriously, some are forgetting the LOVE SQUARE because of Lukanette.

Okay, here’s my unbiased (lol jk) opinion on Lukanette.

It’s actually not bad. I think it’s cute. And maybe if Adrien/Chat Noir didn’t exist, I might ship this.

But like, what is this show without Adrien? It can’t be just Marinette alone.

SO YEAH.

I don’t hate Lukanette that much anymore. I guess I kinda was back when it was just new.

Huh...was it also like this when Evillustrator was new? With Nathaniel? Idk okay. I didn’t start watching the show until Season 2 started. I just binged watch Season 1 for funsies, and I was like, “oh shit, Season 2 is out.”

YEAH.

I do understand why people could be conflicted. I do like Luka (and that’s why Yame was planning to suggest Lukameno real soon). Of course, I do love Adrien, but more like I love him like he is my child.

But like...Luka’s not that bad. He seems like a fun guy. He actually has a sense of humor. He’s actually cool and nice.

Heck, Cristina Vee, the English VA for Marinette, has a crush on Luka.

Well, because Luka reminds her of her fiance aka Nathan Sharp aka NateWantsToBattle. And I’m like GIRL YOU RIGHT.

SO YEAH.

But that doesn’t mean that Lukanette is officially canon. Remember, even voice actors don’t know what’s gonna happen next. They just find out before the rest of us.

YEAH.

But then, why do I still like Adrienette more than Lukanette?

Okay, it has only been one episode of Luka. But really, it’s not just Adrienette. Maybe it could rival Adrienette if it was only Adrienette.

But then it’s an entire fucking love square. Adrienette. Ladynoir. Marichat. Ladrien.

The different dynamics of those four ships technically involving just the same two people is just so fucking strong for me.

Huh...actually, even if it was just Adrienette, there’s so many moments thrown at you like dude Despair Bear and Gorizilla.

But hey, that’s just me.

And also, I like pairs more wherein there wasn’t instant attraction at first sight. (wow redundant much)

I noticed that there was kinda instant crush on Luka, but not with Adrien. Marinette had to notice Adrien’s kindness first before she fell in love with him. Heck, Chat Noir had to see Ladybug’s bravery and badassness before he was like, “yeah...I just don’t have a crush on her. I’m actually in love with her.”

And really, personal experience, my feelings for someone lasts if it’s not crush at first sight.

But then I’ve been single my whole fucking life.

And now maybe you younger peeps will be like...same.

The ones who read my randomness book will know how old I am already. Lol jk. They don’t know my exact age, but they probably have an approximation in mind.

SO YEAH.

My score for Lukanette. I guess 6.5 guitar picks out of 10. Maybe 7. It’s a cute ship, but there’s something that I like MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE.
