"Cuz when I hear your name, I cannot stop cheesing
I love you so much that my heart stops beating
When you leave and I'm grieving and then my heart starts bleeding
Life without you has no goddamn meaning
Sorry I'm passive aggressive for no goddamn reason
It's that my mood change like these goddamn seasons."

"Devon!"
Jake yelled worriedly, running up to the boy outside the school.

"Hey Jake! I missed you. What's the matter?"
Devon asked, turning to him and smiling.

"Have you heard of all the homicides that have been happening around here lately? I'm starting to get scared! So many kids in our grade are being killed!" The boy said, grabbing the other's shoulders and shaking him.

"Babe, I'm sure it'll be just fine. I know it's scary but the police will catch the killer soon enough. We just have to be careful and we won't be killed. I'll protect you no matter what. You know that, right?"
The short teen said, pulling him into a hug and kissing his cheek.

"I already told you, I don't need you to protect me! But if it really comes to that, yes, I know."
Jake started, hugging him back. "Are we still hanging out at your house tonight?"

"Yeah, of course we are! We have an extra few days, it's like a mini school break."
Devon smiled, pulling away from the hug.
"So, I'll see you at six?"

"Yeah, obviously."
He laughed, playfully rolling his eyes.
"Cya later, sweetie."

"Yep, bye babe!"

Devon's smiled turned into a grin; a sadistic smirk. Of course Jake wouldn't need to worry, after all, Devon will always be there to protect him. Nothing will ever hurt Jake. Nobody will ever bully him again. It'll just be him and Jake, the two of them together forever, in a perfect world. And that's because Devon will be there to cover all of Jake wounds, internal and external. He'll get rid of all his enemies, everyone who had ever did him wrong no matter how long ago it was. Nothing will hurt Jake again.

Now, Devon is in his room, thinking about a few nights ago. Blood on his hands and his black clothes. Gripping the knife as he stabbed the shit out of the guy below him. Blood soaked through the grey tee shirt the guy wore, his breathing dying down as his body went limp. That made Devon smile, call him crazy but he thought this was the right thing to do. He loved seeing the blood, watching as the person went limp; dying. Any normal person would be wondering, what does Devon get out of this? Seeing Jake happy. Knowing that whoever Devon killed will never be able to hurt Jake again. He took no chances, he hated seeing Jake cry, or upset or angry. Devon just wanted what was best for Jake. And if this would make him happy, knowing his bully was dead, then so be it.

Suddenly, Devon was snapped out of his thoughts, out of his trance. His mom knocked on his bedroom door. He sat up from his desk, quickly changing his lovesick smile on his face and looking up at the door.

"Come in!"
Devon yelled, doodling on a piece of paper.

"Hey, Jake's here."
Kim said, opening up the door.
"Also here's your laundry, please put it away."
She adds, putting a basket on his floor.

"Uh, alright, thanks."
He smiled, getting up and walking out his room.

"Hey, Devon."

"Yeah?"

"Keep the door open by three inches."
Kim teased.
