Queen Miranda
After breakfast, we were heading to the carriage to go to Whelsire when Roley quickly stopped at his office.
As I waited for him to be ready, I couldn't help but wonder what Roley wanted to talk with Garrick about.
"Alright, Miranda, let's go," said Roley as I nodded, and we began to walk towards our carriage in silence.
"Have a wonderful trip, Your Majesty," said Baileywick, smiling as we smiled back.
"Thank you, Baileywick," I said as Roley nodded.
"Don't worry about a thing, your majesties. Just enjoy your day at Whelsire, your majesties," said Baileywick as we nodded.
"Will do, Baileywick; we'll be back soon," said Roley as he nodded, and Baileywick closed our carriage door as the carriage took off.
"Are you okay, Miranda?" asked Roley as I smiled nervously and sighed before looking at him.
"Roley dear, why are we going to Whelsire?" I asked him as he half-smiled at me and sighed, which worried me.
"Miranda, remember the situation I talked to you about getting alliances." He asked me as I nodded.
"Yes, but... if you are suggesting what I think you are..." I said as he cut me off.
"I know Miranda, but this is the only way to protect our kingdoms and provide a union ship alliance between the two." He said as I frowned.
"Roley, have you ever thought about our daughter's feelings? Why not try an alliance with the kingdoms with princes they love?" I asked him as he signed.
"My dear Miranda, I wish more than anything I could, but how can I be sure their kingdoms are strong?" he said as I sighed.
'He is right, the kingdom needs them, but then again, I don't want my daughters to suffer.' I thought as I continued to listen to him.
"I want my daughters to be happy, but they also have a duty to their kingdom and know it." He said as I nodded.
"Besides, Garrick and I have been friends since childhood and always wanted to join our kingdoms for an alliance." He said as I frowned.
"In other words, we are suggesting an alliance with the kingdoms of our friends?" I asked him as he nodded.
"Yes, but also friends of our children; I think this may be the way to start with," he said as I nodded.
"I, too, agree this might not be a bad idea, but I am still confused. What am I doing here?" I asked him, confused as he smiled at me.
"You know our daughters more than anyone; I will talk to Garrick about the possible union and see what he thinks about it," he said as I nodded.
"However, if he agrees...." He started but I cut him off.
"I see where this is going. You want me to decide our daughter's future?" I questioned him as he nodded.
I couldn't believe what he was asking of me, 'Could I really decide the future of our daughters just like that?' I thought as I sighed.
"If you think this alliance would hurt our daughters and you don't see a possibility of a good future for this union, tell me, and I'll stop this." He said as I thought for a moment and then nodded.
"Okay." I finally said as he smiled.
"More than anything, I want your support, Miranda; besides, I have a good feeling about the alliance with Whelsire; I just feel it." He said as I smiled.
