Beckett pov

"I want to see Espo." Samantha says as I walk out the door.

"I'll try."

I walk into the waiting room, my phone in my hand.

I dial Espo's number.

A phone on the other side of the room starts ringing, and I look in that direction.

Espo is sitting in one of the chairs, his face in his hands.

I sit down next to him, his phone still ringing.

"Are you gonna get that?"

He looks up.

I end the call, and his phone stops.

"Espo, are you ok? Have you slept at all, or eaten?"

He shakes his head, avoiding my gaze.

"Hey, come here."

I pull him into a hug. My brother.

I can feel his shakiness and hear his bated breath.

"She has to be ok. She's going to hate me but I just want her to live." He says to my shoulder.

"She just woke up."

He pulls away from me.

"Really? Is she ok?"

"She's asking for you. She wants to see you. Don't leave her thinking she did something wrong. Go see her."

"But-"

"Javier Esposito! Go see your niece! If you think it was your fault she's here in the first place, why on God's green earth will you not go see her?"

"Are you sure she wants to see me?"

"Yes! Go!"

He nods.

"Ok. Thank you Kate."

He pulls me into another hug before walking away.

As he does, I stuck my tongue out at him, making the kid next to me laugh.

I pull out my phone again and call everyone. Lanie first, then Ryan and Jenny, Martha, and Alexis.

They all say they will be here as soon as they can.

I sit in a chair and Castle comes and sits next to me.

"Hey what are you doing out here?"

"I thought I would give them some privacy. They need it. I think Ross is trying to convince Espo it wasn't his fault."

I sigh.

"Good luck Sam."

I say, and Castle repeats me.

"Good luck."
