Ally rubbed her eyes and smiled at her family who were sat at the end of the bed. On her birthday she would always be woken up by her family singing to her and it always made her so much more excited — it was tradition for all the siblings to greet each other with a rendition of happy birthday on their birth mornings. However today she didn't really feel that, she was terrified after the letter Reggie had sent her and she wished she had known what it had meant.
She smiled when she saw baby Graham in a little suit baby grow at the end of the bed and Jasmine passed him to Ally to hold
"Happy birthday little flower! There's firewhisky in your cereal and in your tea so either way the party is getting started right away!" Oberon cheered pressing a kiss to her cheek
"slàinte," atlas said sliding into the bed next to her holding out a shot of firewhisky
"Is this necessary? I'm holding a baby," she fumed as she grabbed the shot
"We did the same on Caspian's seventeenth did we not?" Wolf joked
"It is only a tradition that we must uphold my dear, many happy returns," Perseus said kissing her forehead and handing her a present
"Thanks Perse," she smiled hugging him tightly
She passed Graham over to Perseus as she cheered and clinked glasses with atlas.
"Slàinte," she mumbled doing the shot
She opened the present and smiled when she saw two books, one was on Arithmancy and the other one was one on how to change or create ministerial law. She quickly flicked through and she beamed with happiness.
"Thank you Perse! This will really help me," she smiled
Perseus just nodded and the other brothers held out their presents for her. She grabbed the one off Caspian and it was a charm for her bracelet, he got her the Regulus charm because he knew how much Regulus had meant to her and he sent her a wink as they both knew it was a lot more than that. She hugged him tightly and squeezed his shoulder three times so that he knew she was appreciative.
