1 what inspired the idea of your story?

I was inspired by other fanfics I had read and I wanted to write a darker version of what Erik's future could look like that semi-matched the tone of Leroux's original novel.

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

Connecting one part to the next. I have an outline, but I struggle to find the connecting pieces because my outlines are like skeletons and it's up to future me to add the organs and the blood and the flesh and the spirit that glues it all together, and sometimes I just don't have the energy to do that

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

I really enjoy writing the descriptive romantic scenes in it. For instance, in the newest part I've been working on there's a beautiful scene of Erik and Christine sitting on the beach watching the sunset on the water. It's so peaceful and beautiful and it is extremely fun to write

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

Overall quite positive, people seem to enjoy it (when I actually update it)

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

this one is a standalone. I typically write standalone novels as they are easier for me to write (since I have such a short attention span due to my adhd) but I do have some WIP series(es) in the works that I probably will never publish here on wattpad

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

I would like my readers to understand that no matter what is going on in your life, there is always a reason to keep on fighting. Life is beautiful and precious and there is always at least one person who would fight for you

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

set aside time to write every day, even if it's only 5 minutes. In the long run it ends up being more productive and it helps stimulate your brain creatively

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

I suppose I share similarities with both Erik and Christine. I am a musically inclined person like both of them, I tend to be pessimistic like Erik but at times I find the best in people like Christine. Like Christine, I would never stop fighting for the people I love.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

I deal with some pretty deep and tough topics like suicide and depression, and I'm sure people want to see that being brought to light since those topics are very under-discussed and important

10 do you have any future projects?

Of course I do! I have about 100 unfinished ideas and stories that I simply don't have time to focus on. My ultimate goal is to be an author IRL so I focus more on individual works outside of Wattpad. For Wattpad, I mainly write fanfics as I feel that fits the audience here more, and I don't have any other WIPs in that regard because I barely have time to focus on the fanfics I've already started!
