1 what inspired the idea of your story?

I guess there was a lot of longing in my highschool experience, and I wished I could have a love potion so someone would automatically like me. I started playing through scenarios on how it would play out, and if I'd be morally okay with it, and if my friends would, and what kind of person would I be if I took away someone's free will, and how could I rectify that?

2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?

I struggled with the actual interactions between my main character and the boy she put a love potion on. I guess it kind of felt like I didn't want to get too attached to the boy she liked, because internally I knew it was wrong, but I wanted my main character to be slimy for a moment

3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?

I loved writing the sibling scenes. I get along with my brother a lot, so I based the character off of him and how we weren't close when we were in middle school, but now we are

4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?

I think  most people like the arc my main character has, which is something I'm really proud of

5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?

It's stand alone, but I could imagine continuing the story through another character's struggle or perspective.

6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?

I'd like them to take away the fact that it's okay to be a late bloomer, that a lot of people don't have their first kiss until college, and maybe even later. I think it's important to note you're not on some schedule for love except your own. I don't think there are a lot of stories like that

7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?

I think just writing, putting shitty words onto a piece of paper always works better than putting no words on a piece of paper

8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?

YES, I'm a late bloomer myself, so I didn't have my first kiss until I was 18, and I was super embarrased about that. I also longed to find love so much, when I did find it, I often hurt people around me.

9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?

I like how my story starts off cliche, but then it evolves into something more deep and real

10 do you have any future projects?

I have like 10 other future projects in my google docs rn, lol
