SYNOPSIS: It's your five-year wedding anniversary and Max completely forgets it.

WARNINGS: unprotected sex

"I'm so sorry, baby," Max muttered while he peppers kisses all over your face. It was early in the morning, and he had to leave for work. In a couple of days, you would finally have a break together, but the days before the holiday were so incredibly busy. You hated his schedule, which existed of meetings, dangerous stuff, and everything else with his crew, basically the whole day. "Will you be in time for dinner?" you sleepily asked, your hand moving over his cheek. "I promise," Max replied, pecking your lips a couple of times. "Alright, handsome. Be careful," you sighed, and he smiled at you before pushing himself up. He was dressed in a dark blue pair of slacks, a white button-up, and his jacket was swung over his shoulder while he moved out of the bedroom, and he left you alone. On the day of your wedding anniversary. You rolled to your back, adjusting the pillow under your head while looking at the ceiling.

You already knew that you wouldn't be able to get him to take a complete day off for the special day, but he said that he'd be able to have the evening with you. And you were fine with it, as you two were off to Dubai next week anyway. You sat up, leaning back on your hands for a moment before making your way out of bed. You stood up and made your way to the walk in closet. The dress you had bought for the dinner tonight hung there, the black, satin material feeling soft and supple under your fingers. It was absolutely stunning, and it would be such a shame if you didn't get to wear it. The sparkle of the diamond on the golden ring on your fingers caught your attention once more, and the date engraved in the ring reminded you that you got married to Max five years ago on this day. You couldn't wait to celebrate it tonight, and you were sure that the kitchen staff would beautifully make up the table, and serve an amazing dinner.

The day waiting for Max passed slowly, and you spend your day being lazy in the large apartment you shared, swimming in the pool in the backyard, making a joyride in one of his Porsches. You only went out of the apartment to get to the salon, returning with a new set of nails. You showered, shaved, scrubbed your body, and you started to get ready for dinner. In half an hour, you were supposed to be seated in the dining room, and you started to feel slightly nervous when you didn't hear Max's car turning onto the porch yet. You continued doing your makeup, your hair, and you were dressed in the gorgeous dress, matching heels on your feet. You moved down the stairs, through the hallway, and you entered the dining room. The table was made up by the staff, candles lit in the middle, the lights were dimmed. "Mrs. Verstappen," Celia, one of the maids saw you and came up to you. "I hope everything is as you wish," she said. "It looks stunning, thank you so much," you told her.
