18. "I love you... I said that way too early. My bad". & 23. "What happens if I do this?".

You looked up from your phone when you heard a car beeping outside. You quickly got up and made your way to the front door, checking if you had everything you needed with you. Lando was taking you out to the cinema tonight and you wondered how he was allowed to, considering the COVID-19 virus was still in the world. He had told you not to worry and that he had a surprise. You met Lando at the beginning of this year, when you started your internship at McLaren as a part of your Sport & Personal Training study. Jon was your mentor and you often worked out with them. Since the quarantine and lockdown, you were lucky to spend a lot of time with Lando while Jon was training him through Skype. You learned a lot in this period and you and Lando became good friends. Tonight he wanted to take you to Rocky, the old Sylvester Stalone movies that were in the theaters again.

You agreed and he picked you up. You locked your door behind you and you made your way to his car. He waved at you and you opened the door to sit down in the passenger's seat. "Hey, you look nice". Lando smiled as he greeted you, starting the engine again. "Thank you". You replied, smiling back at him. "So do you". You added, looking at the colorful hoodie that he was wearing, which fitted him nicely. You were glad his curls had returned and they messily rested on his head. "Did you bring your mask?". He asked and you nodded, showing you yours mask. "Good. I really can't wait till you see the surprise". Lando said, a bit giggly and he looked over at you with sparkling eyes while he drove down the road. "Well, thanks for making me only more curious". You rolled your eyes, nevertheless with a smile. You felt the butterflies fluttering around in your stomach at the way he looked at you and you swallowed hard in attempt to block them out.

Lando stooped his car at the movie theater and you were surprised at the low amount of cars that were standing on the parking lot, assuming more people would want to go to see such a classic movie in the theaters. You both got out of the car and Lando's hand gently brushed over your shoulder when he opened the door of the movie theater for you. "There's no one here?". You asked, hesitantly following him inside. "The staff's here, come". He chuckled and motioned for you to come further. While Lando was arranging some drinks, you looked around to see that literally no one else but the two of you were here. "We got cinema room 5". Lando informed you and you had a puzzled look on your face while entering the room that was once again completely empty. "Did you hire the entire cinema for the two of us?". You asked and Lando chuckled. "I maybe did". He admitted.

He put the plate with drinks and snacks down on the spacious seats in the front, existing of a cozy sofa in a love seat alike idea. "I kind of wanted this to be a date". Lando sat as he sat down and you did the same. "Look, I like you a lot. I've been crushing on you since you started your work at McLaren and I think, I-I love you...". Your eyes widened slightly at his confession. "I said that way too early. My bad". Lando shook his head at himself and bit his lip in embarrassment. "Lando...". You giggled softly, taking his face in your hands. "You hired the entire cinema so we could see a classic movie with me, that has to be the most effort someone has ever done for me". Lando's cheeks blossomed pink. "I just want to know one thing". You softly said. Lando's eyes flickered to yours while the lights in the cinema room slowly dimmed. "What happens if I do this?". You leaned forward to kiss his lips and Lando briefly froze.

His hand moved to the side of your neck and he kissed you back, gently pecking your lips as his eyes fluttered closed. "My heart goes crazy. That's what happens if you that". He breathed, placing your hand over his racing heart. "Is does the same to mine". You smiled. "Good". Lando said and the cinema screen lit up, the movie about to start. Lando sat back against the sofa and he lifted his arm for you so he could tuck you into his side. What you thought would be a simple movie night became a meaningful memory of the first steps of your relationship with Lando.
