SYNOPSIS: You're a successful businesswoman, and you're invited to come to one of the largest events for CEO's and COO's of Mexico City, where you meet a very interesting man.

"We have reached your destination, madam," your driver told you. The car halted in front of the venue, the building tall and modern, a lot of people already making their ways inside. You were invited to events before, but this one was a big step forward in your professional career. Without a partner, you were free in whatever business you wanted to do. You were mostly in the estate business, sometimes wandering off to trading and investment. You wanted to become more familiar with the second, and you hoped to be able to talk with some professionals tonight. You checked your makeup in the mirror before you opened the door and got out. You took your purse with you, steady on your heels while making your way inside. At the entrance, your name was checked, and you were soon let in. The hall was crowded with people, the venue nicely decorated for the event. Some big names were arriving tonight, and from the gasps when some more cars arrived, you guessed they would come soon.

You didn't really mind if the other businesspeople were professional, or carried a big name. Creating some contacts and sharing ideas with anyone at this place would be useful. You smoothed out the black dress you were wearing, the straps on your shoulders thin, the halterneck simple yet elegant, and the body of the dress was tight, a slit on your thigh leaving a small part of your leg bare. It was still early in the night, and you decided to get a drink at the bar first. Before you could order what you wanted, a glass of champagne was put in front of you. You looked at the bartender with a questioning face, and he simply pointed at another man on the other side of the bar. His brown eyes were directed at you, and a small smile curled his lips as he lifted his glass. You let out a soft chuckle, mirroring his actions. You weren't sure if you wanted to walk up to him yet, so you turned around, however, you looked over your shoulder to see if he was still looking at you. And he was. Satisfied, you walked away from the bar and further into the crowd.

"Cariño, don't you think it's polite to thank someone who paid for your drink?" You stopped as you heard the voice behind you, looking up at the man who got you a glass of champagne. "I don't know, what if I wanted a cocktail?" you replied. His dark eyes looked at you for a second before he laughed, amusement written on his face. "I'm Sergio," he said next, his hand extended. You tucked your purse under your arm and placed your hand in his to shake it. "I'm Y/N," you said. "I've read some articles about you," Sergio said next, his hand pushed into the pocket of his slacks. "Likewise," you said, the corners of your mouth moving upwards. "I think our businesses can compliment each other," Sergio said. "Really?" You asked. "Why don't we talk about it? I can order you the cocktail you wanted," he added, causing you to laugh. "Alright, you have my attention," you said. The two of you moved back to the bar, the little glasses of champagne of the first round already finished. "Let's just stick to the champagne, it was a nice conversation starter," you suggested, to Sergio's liking.

He was nicely dressed in a neat, white button-up and a black pair of slacks that were obviously tailored. Sergio ordered a whole bottle of champagne instead of two new glasses, and you sat down on one of the stools at the bar. He popped the bottle and poured two glasses, shoving one your way. Sergio's company invested in data technology for various teams in Formula 1, and you learned that he's flying over to Texas this weekend, he's invited as a guest at the Grand Prix. You wondered how your companies could work together, but Sergio came up with an impressive idea of how his data knowledge would get you better insights in your investments. Many glasses of champagne later, your business was long forgotten, and office stories and business trip anecdotes were shared. You were supposed to talk to many people during this evening, but you ended up just meeting Sergio. And there was nothing wrong with it. You exchanged phone numbers already while the end of the evening was nearing.

You both took your last glass of champagne and clinked them together. "Cheers to these champagne conversations, Sergio," you said. "My pleasure," Sergio grinned. "You see, we have shared a lot of ideas already, but I think we should do that again over dinner, let's say next week?" he asked. You let your eyes glide over his face for a second, chuckling softly. "Sure, why not?" you said. "I'll get the reservations done, I'll call you about the details," Sergio said, watching as you put down your empty glass and moved to get off the stool, you approached him a little closer. "I'm sure it will be a pleasure to work with you," you said, your lashes fluttering. "I'm looking forward to it," Sergio replied. You leaned forward to kiss his cheek, and his hand landed on your waist. "Have a good night," you greeted him before walking away to find the exit. And when you looked over your shoulder, he was still watching. Like he should. You had a feeling like you two will be very good business partners.
