TW: Captivity, slight panic attack?

"We need a plan." The merman named George had started swimming up and down. His concentrated face was so cute... No, Dream couldn't think about that now. They had to make a plan to escape.

"How exactly does your voice work?" "Excuse me?", Dream said. He must have heard it wrong. "How does your voice work?", the merman repeated annoyedly.

"Well, I can attract other sirens with it." Dream was pretty uncomfortable with this theme. "No, I mean humans. Can you make them do whatever you want?" "I guess... I never really tried though."

"Good. So the plan is, we'll wait until there's only one human here. You'll hypnotize it and make it throw both of us in the sea. And-"

"No!", Dream yelled, horrified. "What?" George looked at him, surprisedly. "I-I can't..." Dreams voice trailed off. Tears started forming in his eyes. No, no, no! I can't cry infront of him!, he told himself, but it didn't work.

Suddenly, he found himself in a warm hug. Huh? "Look, I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of it and I also really suck at comforting", he heard George's voice say somewhere close to his left ear. "So can you please stop crying? If it makes you feel better, we'll find another way." Dream just buried his face into George's shoulder, memories overwhelming him.

"I guess we're friends now, so you can tell me anything. Why don't you wanna sing?" George's soft voice made Dream tear up even more. "I... I...", he croaked out, then fell back into silence. George just kept hugging him.

A thought crossed Dreams mind as he sucked in George's smell, which reminded him of seaweed and blue skies.

When I die, I want it to be in his arms.
