(FTO) Secrets Take Flight (part 1)

Bryan pov

'I've been feeling weird ever since the match against Mario and Boat,' i think to myself as I sit at my table eating some crackers since my stomach is doing topsy-turveys. 'Maybe its because of.....No it couldn't be......could it?' I question to myself, 'I need to go talk to Jazmena about this.' My thoughts continue as I get up and start heading to Dragon's Cave to see Jazmena. 

When I get there, I go straight to the cave, "Jazmena?" I call out "Bryan? What are you doing here? Did something happen?" she questions as she walks over, in human form, from her pool in the back. "Nothing happened, at least nothing bad i think......" I say unsure, "but that's not why I'm here." I continue "Oh? Then what's up?" she asks "I've been feeling ...weird." She gets concerned, "When did it start? What caused it? Explain weird. And why are you only now bringing it up?" she questions. I rub the back of my head and answer the questions the best way i can, "After me and Lo'pho had our mini battle against Mario and Boat in the Grand Magic Games. I activated my Dragon Force which Mario said it took him years to learn and he still has problems controlling it. Weird as in I feel sick to my stomach at times, like motion sickness but i'm just standing there, and my magic feels warmer? And I'm only now bringing it up because we've been through some stuff recently. You know Ritchie eating a wrong element, Mario getting stabbed, Heat, then Ritchie almost dying, and all the other stuff going on in between all those major events." 

She raises and eyebrow unamused "sorry." I say looking down, I feel her hand on my forehead, "No fever," she lifts my head and looks into my eyes "you still have your magic spark in your eyes so not drained on magic," she places her hand on her chin thinking. Then she spins me around and stops, i'm about to ask what she's doing when I feel her hand on my back, where my wings come out when i enter Dragon Force "AH!" I groan, she hums, "it would appear your going through puberty," I spin to her "WHAT!? I"VE ALREADY WENT THROUGH PUBERTY!" I yell, she puts her hand over my mouth "not your dragon puberty." and I freeze. "I really am going to turn into a dragon, aren't I?' I ask, she smiles and says "Well you are half dragon, so yeah." I sigh, "Yay me." I say sadly thinking that when i become a dragon i'll have to leave everybody. She puts a hand on my shoulder, "You do realize I can teach you how to become human again, right?" my eyes look to her hopeful. 

She smiles, and says "You goof." she rolls her eyes and continues "You won't be fully changing for another month or two, and you feel 'weird' because your body is adjusting to the new magics in you, plus your wings are growing, so that is also a discomfort." I smile and then get a thought "Do I need to stay here until my first transformation?" I speak my thoughts. "Uh....." she thinks for a moment, "I think you will want to be here for when you do transform but...." I look at her questionably. "I say can stay with your guild, just be aware of the signs you are about to turn." "and those would be?" i ask "Burning in the back, you throw up fire, and by that i mean your puke catches fire the second it hits whatever it hits, that isn't you, or scales start rapidly appearing on a specific part of your body." I nod and say "okay thanks i'll be careful, and keep an eye out for those. Bye Jazmena." i turn and leave.
