Prologue

Outside pov

Night falls and 4 shadows creep from their assigned homes, to meet at the center, once there, they wait for the 5 they called to arrive. They arrive in a few minutes and a told the plan in a hushed whisper, the 5 nod and agree to the plan. The 9 shadows skirt through the darkness, into each home, collecting the children until all 9 children are in the hands of each shadow, a power is used and all are taken to a new place. "What are you all doing here!?" a feminie voice rings out "You shouldn't be here, not after last time....." the voice continues, "That's in the past. Right now we need your help." a male voice rings out "What can I do for you?" the first voice asks ready to help "We need you hide the children." says a third voice holding a small child, "You want me to hide them away?" four of the nine nod, the first voice lets out a sigh "Be lucky i am now an Elder, and have the ability to do so, but what are the other five for?" the first voice asks "They are to become the guardians of the children. To watch over them since we will not be able to." a fourth voice says tears springing in his eyes. The first voice nods in understanding, "I'll create them their own world, where they can grow. Guardians, you will raise them, protect them, and, when the time comes, bring them home to their families." the guardians nod and a fifth voice rings out "Thank you again Guardians." the Guardians nod again and take the other four children from the first four shadows. "Goodbye little one, Mommy loves you." says the third voice "Siempre estaré contigo, mi niña." (I'll always be with you my baby girl, thank you google translate) says the fourth voice then the original four shadows leave. "It is time. Guardians are you ready?" they look to each other, then to the first voice and say in sync "We are ready." the first voice makes a portal and sends them through with the children.
