(FTO) Panicking Pat

Mitch pov

I was hanging out with Bryan in the dining hall, both bellies bloated, being bored out of our minds, since Brandon grounded us until our kids are born. I sigh for the, who knows how many-th, time, Bryan glares at me, I roll my eyes and shrug, he sighs as well, getting a chuckle out of me. The rest of the guild is all off doing their own thing, Uncle Ritchie is playing dodge the lightning with Inmo, David, Dad (Silver), Kay, Kit, Colin, and Seek since they decided to play a prank on a drunk Bren, by dying his hair yellow. Uncle Brandon is hanging out with Lucas and Lilliane, Uncle Micheal has the twins and is watching the game of dodge the lightning. Mario is off cave spelunking cause he said he needed to do something or he'd accidentally make a hole in the middle of the guild. Pat and Jakey are learning to make food with Jazmena, Mom (Bri) is talking with Lo'pho about who knows what in her office, Devin is reading a book and eating on the other side of the dining room, everybody else is on missions (I have no clue who i'm forgetting but i know i am so don't sue me). Its been about 5 months since we announced, and Jazmena said that's who long it takes for an egg to form in the womb of a dragon, but for dragon slayers it should be the proper time for a child to grow. I groan and then hear a shriek of surprise coming from outside, its Colin's voice, Bryan and myself laugh, until i feel a tightness in my stomach and stop placing a hand on my stomach. Bryan notices my pause, "Mitch?" he asks I wave him off "Just felt a little tight, i'm good." then i feel liquid between my legs, and i look down "Or maybe not....." I say, Bryan is in stunned silence, then yells "CODE POISON BABY!!!!" and all noise seeses, then footsteps from everywhere, all heading toward me. I blink and am in the infirmary, Pat has my hand in a death grip, Mom is helping with the birthing, and i'm lost, then the pain hits me "HOLY SH(*^!" I yell in pain, tears forming in my eyes.

(time skip baby coming)

The baby is handed to me "Congrats, Mitch, Pat it's a girl." Mom says, I stare at the baby, and Pat is panicking beside me, I blink and she blinks, I blink again as does she "Well hi there." I say and she giggles, i can feel the imaginary sweet drop in the room, and I laugh "What-haha-were you expecting-haha-I'm me." and nods of -he's got a point- go around "So what's her name?" Dad asks "Er...Pat had the honor of naming her if she was a girl." I look to Pat, who is on the floor? "Uh? Pat?" I ask and he's on his feet "Right, right baby girl name. I chose Marie." I nod and look back to my baby "Hi Marie." and she claps her hands happily.
