I leaned on the wall in the back room, Oscar and I was in earlier.

I closed my eyes in frustration.

I was getting more agitated because we weren't getting nowhere.

Way too many things happening.

All i needed was a break.

"Hey you okay?"  I looked up as Chico walked in.

"I am trying not to lose my shit."  I took a deep breathe.

"Come here."  He opened his arms and i smiled going into them.

He rubbed my back in comfort.

"You need to breathe Rih."

I pulled away from him feeling the tears.

"First my brother gets shot Chico. Then I find out he's having a baby with another woman and now this. I just want to rest. I'm so tired.  I haven't slept. I can't handle all of this at once."  I cried

He looked at me pursing his lips.

"Hey Rih, Robyn. Hey."  He titled my head up so i was looking at him

"It'll be fine okay. Everything's going to be fine. I promise you. You don't deserve any of this. But I'll make sure everything is okay." He gave me a lazy smile

"I shouldn't have come back here."

"Narh, I'm glad you're back though."

"I know you are chiquitto."

We both jumped when Benji cleared his throat. He was eyeing Our proximity..

I now realised how close we were.
I stepped back.

"Everything okay here?"  Benji asked me.

"Yup, just breakdown number 5 of the day." I shrugged.

"I'll talk to you later Rih." Chico walked away.

"Anything new?" I asked taking a seat where i was once sat.
Benji took it the

"Nothing new. Keish been working hard infront of that laptop of hers." I eyed him.

"Keish? Since when are you allowed to call her Keish?"  I questioned.

Only people she actually liked called her that
Laurice didn't even call her that.

"Well ma, let me tell you something. That woman right there can do whatever she wants to me."
I squealed happily.

"Oh my god. Yo Benji, i don't care how much you mean to Oscar hurt her i will kill you." I glared playfully

"Narh, men she playing hard to get though. A woman like her can take her of herself yeah, she has her shit together. She a bad bitch but still she needs a man, a man that can handle all of her"

I couldn't help but smile as he spoke.

In the corner of my eyes i saw Oscar walk in.

"Talking about Keisha again fool."  He smirked eyeing Benji.

"He cheesing and all that." I teased laughing

"Don't do it homie. These Divine girls have something about them." I looked over at him to see him already staring at me.

"Bullshit homie, if i get that Roscyn love I'm good."

"God, you know about that?" I cringed at Laurice's awful ship name.

"Know it lemme tell you something.. shits my religion"

I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

I haven't laughed like this in a long time.

"Who's Roscyn?" Oscar asked confused looking between Benji and I

"Roscyn?  The cutest people you'll ever meet. They have another type of love." Benji smirked

I looked away smiling.

"You know Benji, when Oscar spoke about you i never thought you could live up to the greatness he said you were."

My mind went back to all the moments Oscar spoke about Benji. They had another type of bond, kinda like me and Jamal.

My heart ached just thinking about Jamal. We had the best relationship. I didn't think of him as my cousin but like a brother. Despite the age difference we were closer than ever.

Mine and Jamal's relationship was another thing my move out of freeridge affected.

It was no longer the same.

"You okay?" I snapped out of my thoughts to see only Oscar in the room. He had taken Benji's seat.

"Yeah.. just thinking about Jamal.. I just fele like we've lost this bond we had between the two of us when i left Freeridge. I missed a huge part of his life. I regret it."  I frowned.

"Kinda like me and Prison. One thing i know when i left Cesar was a kid and when i came back he was all grown up. I've been his father for as long as i can remember and to not be there for that couple of years i felt like i missed out alot. His resentment towards me sure grew though." He looked down.

"Is that what you think is going to happen with your little girl? She's going to grow up to resent you?" I knew him too well to know exactly what he was thinking.

"What if it's her in this position Rih. My little girl won't be safe in Freeridge being who i am. I won't only have Cesar to take care of but her too." He rubbed his face.

I was sad for two different reasons. For how he was feeling and the fact that his little girl wasn't ours.

"You know, i always thought by this age I'll be out of the gang. You me and Cesar would've moved out of Freeridge. I was planning on it."

I smiled sadly.

I had the same thought.  I wanted to finish High School. Get my degree and Cesar,Oscar and I would've been our own little family.

That was the plan.

But shit happens all the time.

I was about to speak when Oscar's phone started ringing.

He frowned and picked it up.

"What?" He asked in disbelief and i sat up straighter.

"Fine stay there." He looked at me and got on his feet and i followed.

"It was Pablo, the kids has been dropped off at the house."

What?
