Entry 934
Thursday 18th April 2019

I'm back at home and getting settled back into life on the island. I must say it's nice not to be running around, trying to stay alive wearing nothing but a gold thong and a pair of trainers. It feels so good to be back in my own clothes. The day started with some rather heated arguments, but it ended with me being rather more reflective.

After I was told that my test results from being in quarantine had come back clear, one of the GRID soldiers gave me a lift home. Mike was waiting for me, as was TJ who was holding Primark. "Luke!" Mike loudly and excitedly exclaimed as he ran towards and wrapped his arms around me. "Ouch, Mike," I said, "Don't squeeze too hard. I'm aching all over." "Oh, sorry babes," said Mike, "I'm just so glad to see you. I was so worried. The last time I saw you I was laid on the ground and you were taking off into the air on that jet. Are you OK?" "I'm fine," I said, "Good to be back home. How are your eyes?" "Well it took a few hours for the pain to go," said Mike, "But I'm fine now." "What you been up to then Elizabeth?" said TJ, "I heard you got bummed by a big fat bloke." "How the Hell did you know that!?" I exclaimed, "I've only just got out of quarantine." "Ah, so it's true then?" said TJ, "The podgy poof did poke you up the poo pipe?" "No!" I loudly exclaimed, "He just felt me up and made we wear a gold thong." "Ha!" laughed TJ, "Brilliant!" "TJ, leave him alone," said Mike, "He's had a tough time." "Yes, I have," I firmly said to TJ, "I don't need your sh*t." "Where's Trudy?" asked TJ. "She's still in quarantine," I said. "What for?" asked TJ, "It's been over 24 hours." "It's complicated," I said, "Look I just want to go see Leo." "It's OK," said Mike, "We radioed through to your Mum when GRID radioed through to us and said they were giving you a lift back. She'll be here in a minute." "What's going on with Trudy?" asked a confused sounding TJ, "What's so complicated." "Maybe we should wait for Mum to get here?" I said, "I don't want to have to repeat the story over and over again." "Is she OK?" asked TJ. "Well, she's p*ssed off with me," I said. "Oh, for f*cks sake," snapped TJ, "What have you done now?" "I haven't done anything," I snapped, "Well, I... Look... It's complicated." "Blade said you ended up in Egypt," said Mike. "Yeah," I said, "It's certainly been a memorable few days."

At that moment, Mum burst into the front room followed by Ash and Roz who was holding Leo. "Oh, sausage!" she loudly said as she ran over to me and then wrapped her arms around me, tightly hugging me. "Oh, I'm so glad you're alive," said Mum, "Oh, sausage, I've been so worried." "Mum," I said, amongst the muffled hugging, "I can't breathe... and you're hurting me." Mum released me from her tight cuddle and I looked over at Leo who was in the arms of Roz. A huge smile appeared on my face as happy and emotional tears filled my eyes. "Hello, you gorgeous little thing," I said, with a beaming smile on my face, "Roz, just to be clear; it's nice to see you but I'm talking about Leo." "Yes, Luke," Roz bluntly said with a smile on her face, as she passed Leo to me, "I figured that out." Roz playfully punched me on the arm. "It's good to see you too," she said. I scooped up Leo, looked him in the eyes and then gave him a big kiss on his forehead. "Hello, you," I playfully said to Leo, "Oh God, I have missed you. I feel like I haven't seen him in ages." "Good to see you, Luke," said Ash, coyly smiling and patting me on my arm, "We were all really worried about you." "Hmm," I sternly said to Ash "You wouldn't have had any reason to worry if you hadn't had been looking after the virus for Endo and hiding it from us all this time." "I had ONE copy of the virus," Ash assertively said, "Harold's got loads more copies, not just on the island but scattered all across the world. No one knows where they are apart from Harold. I only had that one." "So!?" I loudly gasped, "Why did you have ANY copies of the virus at all?" "Oh Luke," said Ash, "We went through all this when Tara turned up here demanding the virus." "Well, believe it or not, I wasn't exactly thinking clearly at that point," I snapped, "There was a little matter of me being held hostage by a psycho b*tch who had a gun to my head. When Endo told you to look after the virus you should have told him to f*ck off. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for you." "Oh, Luke, come on," said Roz, "That's not fair. Ash might have made a mistake in hiding the virus from us all this time, but it's not his fault all this happened. If you're looking for someone to blame, you should blame Tara." "He won't blame Tara," a voice from behind said, "They're best friends now." I turned around to see Trudy stood in the doorway. She'd just been dropped off by one of the GRID soldiers. She ran over to TJ and collected Primark from him and gave him a big kiss and a cuddle. "Trudy!" gasped Mike, "Are you OK?" "Well, I've had better trips abroad," said Trudy, "And coming back home didn't involve as many clinical tests or giving a sh*t load of blood like it did being cooped up in quarantine." "I thought they were keeping you in quarantine?" I said to Trudy. "They were going to," Trudy bluntly said, "But I convinced them to let me out to see Primark. I've got to go back later for more. More frigging tests." "What did you mean when you said Luke and Tara are best friends?" Ash asked Trudy. "Oh they're BFFs," said Trudy, "Bezy mates. They bonded when they were locked in a cell together." "No," I said, "It wasn't like that." "It was exactly like that," snapped Trudy, "I told you we couldn't trust her. I told you, didn't I!? She played you. She played you like a f*cking fiddle!" "What do you mean?" asked Mum. "I was going to kill her," said Trudy, "We were on this plane, and Tara was about to fly out on this ejector seat thingy when I grabbed this machine gun and threatened to kill her. Luke had a go at me, shouted at me, snatched the gun off me and told me to stop. He said that she'd made mistakes and that we needed to understand her reasons." "What!?" exclaimed Mum. "I came THIS close to killing her, and this tw*t stopped me." "Do you need a spoon for all that sh*t you're stirring?" I snapped, "Or can you cope without?" "I'm telling the truth!" snapped Trudy. "You're removing context," I snapped. "What?" said Trudy, "This has got nothing to do with all that sh*t you get at the start of a book." "That's contents," I said, rolling my eyes, "I'm talking about context." "Whatever" said Trudy, "We could have been rid of Trudy but you stopped me from killing her." "Babes, is this true?" asked Mike, "Did you stop Trudy from killing Tara?" "Well, yeah," I said, "But it's not like how she's making out." "Well, she's making it like you and Tara bonded when you were locked up together and that this made you stop Trudy from killing her," said Roz. "Well..." I said. "She fed him a load of bullsh*t," said Trudy, interrupting me, "And this silly sod fell for it." "What do you mean?" asked Ash. "She told him that she had a sister who had the same illness Mia had when she was a kid, and that she needed to sell the virus to get the money to pay the Doctors who were looking after her sister. This tw*t believed it all." "Seriously Elizabeth?" said TJ, "You swallowed all that sh*t from twisted Tara?" "She was really convincing!" I exclaimed. "Luke," said Roz, "She killed Caroline; my partner, your ex-wife, the Mother of your children. She killed her. You were there when it happened. No mater what she told you, it doesn't change the past. It doesn't change what she did. How the Hell could you believe anything that comes out of her mouth." "She's a master manipulator, just like Endo" I exclaimed, "Look how she manipulated Kyle." "He's a teenage boy!" Roz loudly exclaimed, "You're a fully grown man. What the Hell is wrong with you!? Trudy could have killed her and you stopped her!" "Well, if it helps, I feel really stupid and really bad about it," I said. "No, Luke," snapped Roz, "It doesn't help. It doesn't help at all." Roz then stormed out. A tense silence followed and I looked at everyone's disappointed faces. "Luke, why didn't you let Trudy kill her?" asked Mike. "It was a tense situation," I said, "For Christ sake, we ended up in Egypt. At the time, Tara was the only one who could fly a plane. We needed her to get us back, and let's be honest, she did fly us back part of the way, didn't she?" "Yeah and then f*cked off and left us to crash to our death," snapped Trudy, "If Richard's mad yank friend wasn't there, we'd all be stone dead." Everyone gasped when they heard Trudy mention Richard's wife. "It's a long story," I said. "I think maybe you should tell us this long story from the beginning," said Ash.
