Still no sign of Blade and now, after what some of the GRID soldiers said today, I'm really starting to think he's avoiding me and Roz.

I went to work and asked some of the GRID soldiers where Blade was, as I hadn't seen him in a while. I noticed the soldiers exchanging awkward and uncertain looks, and then proceeding to give me one-word answers and rather basic responses without any detail. "He's busy," one soldier said. "He's got a lot on his plate," another said. I didn't probe any further. It was obvious they were hiding something and that something dodgy was going on.

When I got home, I told Roz how the soldiers responded. She said that she'd had similar responses from the GRID soldiers when she was in Cowes earlier on. "It's obvious that Blade has told them all to fob us off," said Roz, "The question is why. He can't keep us separated from Kyle forever. We've got to do something."

Roz and I continued trying to radio through to Blade using the walkie talkie but we didn't get a response. Mum said maybe we should camp outside Blade's flat and incredibly Roz considered this, but thankfully I talked her out of it. Roz returned to her idea of refusing to go to mandatory reporting, but I eventually came up with a better idea. "Sci-fi Cyn," I said, "What about her?" asked Roz. "She works for GRID and she's sort of close to Blade," I said, "We can speak to her. She might know what's going on? She might be able to help. Maybe she can take us to see Kyle. We might not need to see Blade at all."

Roz thought my suggestion was a good one and we agreed to go and see Sci-Fi Cyn tomorrow. I hope she can help.
