Entry 831
Saturday 5th January 2019

I'm currently trapped in the cellar of an abandoned warehouse, covered in dust and rubble, and I'm not on my own...

The day started off on a relatively positive note. We all met at the Cowes seafront as instructed by Blade and prepared to board our board. I was looking forward to it. In fact, I was quite excited. What with her broken foot Auntie Meryl didn't come. She's looking after the kids. I hope they don't run rings round her. TJ didn't turn up which surprised me. Don't get me wrong; I'm glad he didn't show his face after yesterday but I half expected him to turn up kicking off and giving me sh*t. I'm glad he didn't. Mike told me that TJ was at home stomping around like a stroppy teenager. Naomi also didn't turn up which I guess means she's in a mood with me after what happened yesterday, but interestingly Seth did turn up. He's one of the armed GRID soldiers that Blade allocated to accompany us. As soon as I saw him next to the boat, he gave me a rather strange look. Not an angry look but certainly not a happy one. Mum saw our exchange and suggested that I keep my distance from Seth. Seth wasn't the only armed GRID person, Emily Elise and Sci-Fi Cyn were also armed and accompanying us. Sci-Fi Cyn isn't a soldier, she's a "communications expert" so it was weird seeing her with the same sort of gun Seth had. Either way, I was glad she was with us; however, I was not glad Emily has been told to come with us. She and Mia caught each other's eye and exchanged piercingly hateful looks, so what with the awkwardness between Seth and I, and the tense atmosphere between Mia and Emily, I didn't think the boat trip was getting off to a good start. I told Mia that I needed to avoid Seth and that she needed to avoid Emily.

Blade turned up to make sure we all boarded safely and once we were all aboard, he waved us goodbye and we were off. So, there was me, Mum, Ash, Mike, Trudy, Roz, Mia and Richard accompanied by the armed Emily, Seth and Sci-Fi Cyn. The boat was a lovely little vessel, rather swanky and quite long; the helm overlooked an open-air upper deck which was above two lower decks below. One of the lower decks housed the kitchen and sleeping/living quarters, whilst the deck below contained wires, electrics and storage. The captain who was steering the boat was some old guy called George who used to work in the navy; a nice fella but a bit of a grump. Him and Richard got on really well comparing what makes them miserable and talking about things they didn't like.

The little jaunt out was going really well. I was avoiding Seth, Mia was avoiding Emily, we were all getting on and enjoying being out at sea as the boat sailed across the Solent. There was even a buffet with snacks and party food on the lower deck. "Well this is a pretty impressive spread," said Mum. "Hmm," I disapprovingly said, "I bet that's what TJ said to you the other day." "Oh Luke, stop going on," said Mum, "Lighten up and enjoy yourself." "I am," I said, "Yeah, well tell your face," said Mum, "You look bl**dy miserable; even more than usual." Mum looked at me and started faffing with my hair. "Get off," I said, "What are you doing?" "I'm just trying to make you look presentable," said Mum, "You don't want to go around looking like a big lump of sh*t, do you? Honestly, you've got hair like a haystack; a haystack that's had sh*t thrown at it." "Wil you b*gger off," I snapped, "Why don't you try saying something nice to me?" Mum took a step back and looked me up and down. "Well you don't look as fat as you usually do," said Mum, "Maybe it's the lighting in this boat." "Mum," I said, "That's less of a compliment towards me, and more of a compliment towards the boat." Ash then approached me and asked me if I'd seen Mia. I frowned with curiosity and glanced around the area. "Hmmm, I can't see her," I said, "Maybe she's up top." "Emily's not here either," said Ash. I suddenly felt incredibly worried and it showed. "There's that face again," said Mum, "Smile you miserable sod." Ignoring Mum, I once again looked around the area where we were all stood. "Mia and Emily are the only ones who aren't here," I said. "Let's go see if they're up top," said Ash. CRASH!!!! All of a sudden, a loud bang was heard, followed by an ear piercing scratching sort of sound. The boat aggressively shook and we were all violently throw across the room as some of us gasped in horror, whilst others screamed in fear. After a few moments the boat came to a standstill and we all rose to our feet. "What the flying fat frigging f*ck was that!?" Trudy snapped. "Have we crashed into something?" gasped Mum. "Oh, I hope we're not sinking," said Richard, "I don't like water. I don't like sailing really. I probably shouldn't even be on this boat." "Oh Richard, shut up," snapped Roz. "Everyone stay here," said Seth with a tone of authority in his voice, "Cyn, hold things down here. I'm going to go to the deck below and assess the situation. Everyone stay calm." Seth headed off to the deck below. Leaving the rest of us to wonder what was going on. Ash and I looked at the stairs leading to the upper deck, and then exchanged determined looks. We both headed for the stairs when Sci-Fi Cyn stepped in our way. "What are you doing?" she said, "Seth told us all to stay here." "Oh, get out of the way you science fiction freak," snapped Ash as he tried to get past Sci-Fi Cyn. "Well, well, well," said Sci-Fi Cyn adopting a serious tone, "The sly little squirrel is trying to get past Mamma Bear." "You what?" said Ash. "Well let me tell you, you naughty little squirrel; let me tell you that if you want to get to the honeypot, you have to climb the tree and this Mamma Bear won't make your climb easy for you." "Honeypot?" exclaimed Ash, "What the f*ck are you talking about?" "Cyn, Mia is up there!" I exclaimed, "Let us up." Sci-Fi Cyn thought for a second. "Just get out of the way you stupid cow!" snapped Ash. "You are poking an angry Mamma Bear," Sci-Fi Cyn said to Ash in an intimidating tone. Seth then returned from below deck. "We're sinking!" Seth said, "We need to abandon ship!" "Oh no!" gasped Richard. "Sh*t th bed!" cried Trudy, "Let's get out of here." We all ran to the stairs and quickly hurried up to the top outer deck.
