God I'm p*ssed off!

I spoke to Blade today and told him about Emily Elise's inappropriate behaviour yesterday but it turns she got to him before me! According to Blade, Emily told him that Mia was using threatening language and that she threatened to sexually expose herself to Emily. "I believe the word clunge was used," said Blade. "Well, yeah," I said, "But Mia didn't mean... You know... She didn't mean her actual... You know... Lady bits. Clunge is what she calls her weapon. It's a cleaver stuck to a plunger. That's why she calls it a clunge." "So, she threatened Emily with an actual weapon?" said Blade, "Are you saying that's better?" "Well, no, I suppose not," I said, "But Emily was winding Mia up. She threw me against the wall, she was rude, insulting, inappropriate and she told Mia to get to her knees. Her attitude was awful and really unprofessional and the language she used was completely out of order. It was like she had it in for Mia just because she's Harold's daughter." "Come on Luke," said Blade, "Mia IS the daughter of the man who created the virus. You must understand that people won't like her. She's bound to get some stick." "Perhaps," I bluntly said, "But not from GRID soldiers." "Fine," said Blade, "I'll have a word with Emily and tell her to take it easy." "Jon, I'm sorry," I said, "But you don't seem to be taking this seriously. People that have been reporting to sign on have said that your soldiers are too heavy-handed and now I've seen it for myself. You ended to sort your staff out." "Luke," said Blade, rolling his eyes, "I'm not having you telling me how to do my job. My team know what they're doing. The vast majority of residents have made zero complaints about my soldiers, where forced was used it was necessary and the case you are referring to with Mia is unique as she is Harold Endo's daughter." "Well," I said, "I am not sure your soldiers do know what they're doing, you don't know of force was necessary as you're not there and it shouldn't matter that Mia is Harold's daughter; she's a resident of this island like everyone else." Luke, I'll speak to my team and have a word with Emily but you make sure you have a word with Mia. Now stop pestering me and let me get on with my job and whilst you get on with yours." Blade's attitude annoyed me but by this point I wasn't surprised.

I told Mia about my chat with Blade. She said it didn't really matter because she said she'd make sure she always remembered to report and sign on. We carried on chatting and she said that Emily was a stupid cow for hating her because of her Dad. "Is this what life's going to be like?" Mia asked me, "Me struggling to make friends because they know who my Dad is. It's not my fault the outbreak happened and that the virus killed so many people. I know he did what he did to keep me alive and stop me from dying and I suppose I should always be grateful to him for that but al he's ever tried to do and control. All those years ago when he cured me of my illness it might have been better if I'd have died. At least then the world wouldn't be in the mess it's in now." I felt proud hearing Mia speak with such maturity but it was also rather sad. As we continued talking Mia said she'd changed her mind about seeing her Dad. "I told you I didn't want to see him and tell him I lied about being pregnant," said Mia, "Well I've changed my mind. I want to see him now. I want to look him in the face and tell him I lied and that I'm not pregnant and that he isn't going to have a grandchild."

Mia asked if I'd go with her to see her Dad tomorrow. I said yes and that I'd speak to Blade and get someone to cover my shift at work. If Blade allows it looks like Mia and I will be going to see Harold tomorrow. Blade will probably want to tag along too but I am very much looking forward to Mia having one over Harold and wiping that smug grin off his face...
