Entry 905
Wednesday 20th March 2019

Bit of a quiet day.

I met with Ash at Sails and we had a catch up and a cuppa. He told me that he saw Naomi and that she feels bad about everything that happened the other day. "She just stood there and let me and Cyn fall out and watch me accuse Kyle," I said. "Come on," said Ash, "We all know you're going to forgive her. You always do." "Maybe not this time," I said, "She went too far." "Yeah, she did," said Ash, "But I think she knows that." "Hmm, I'm not sure," I said, "I didn't get the impression that she thought she'd gone too far, and to be honest she's done some pretty questionable stuff over the years." "So, have you!" exclaimed Ash, "So have I! We all have. I was there that day on the roof when Tara and Goyle were pointing a gun at us. Life's too short to be falling out with people, Luke." "What are you saying?" I asked. "I'm saying you should make up with Naomi," said Ash, "And whilst you're at it, make up with Kyle... Although he might be harder to win round than Naomi." "Is he still seeing his counsellor?" I asked. "Yeah," said Ash. "How's it going?" I asked. Ash shrugged. "You know, Kyle," Said Ash, "He's a boy of very few words, but the fact that you're asking means you're still interested. You still care." "Of course, I still care," I said, "Just because we can't be around each other doesn't mean I want him to come to any harm. I'm glad he's still having his counselling." "Yeah, well if you still care you should start making amends," said Ash.

I could kind of see where Ash was coming from but my head just isn't in the place where I can talk to Kyle or Naomi. To be honest I just want to enjoy the peace and quiet and be grateful for a stress-free life... I'm sure it won't last so I'm going to make the most of it.

I still don't know what my new job is. I haven't heard from Blade. I guess he's got more things on his mind. I've seen other people handing out flyers for the KISS campaign. It looks like they're having about as much success as me, Mike and the others had. I spoke to a few of the people handing out leaflets. One of them said there's no point in handing out leaflets because the KISS campaign has more or less already lost the election. I hope they're not right, but, after everything that happened with the infected being brought to the mainland, it seems that islanders don't trust Blade and GRID as much as they did before. It's the big Q&A debate between Blade and Natasha at Seaclose Park. I think it's going to be rather interesting...
