Blade is up to something!

I went round to Katie's today, with the intention of apologising for lying about her and I shagging each other, and to ask for help in speaking to Blade about the missing people, however when I arrived at Katie's flat, I was about to knock on her front door when it suddenly opened to reveal Blade stood there in the doorway. He looked shocked to see me. I was also rather surprised to see him. "Jon?" I said, sounding surprised, confused and rather suspicious, "What are you doing here?" "Katie was meant to meet me yesterday to talk about all these missing people but she never showed up," said Blade, "I thought I'd come around. I've got a spare key." "How come you've got a spare key?" I asked. "I guess she trusts me," said Blade, "Me, Katie and Catherine all live in this building. We have each other's spare keys. You know. In case of emergency." "How come you didn't knock on the door and just wait?" I asked. I could see that Blade was starting to get annoyed. "I did," he bluntly said, "But there was no answer so I decided to let myself in." There was a slight pause. "Have you got any other questions you want to ask me?" Blade said with a tone of confrontation.  "No," I said, "I just didn't expect to see you here. I take it Katie's not home." "No," said Blade, "I don't half miss having working phones. I can speak to my men via the walkie talkies but that doesn't help us in this situation." "Maybe Katie's at the newspaper office?" I said. "I've been there," said Blade, "She didn't turn up to our meeting, she isn't in her office and she isn't at home." My eyes widened and I gasped. "God," I said, "You don't think she's gone missing now do you?" "It looks like it's a possibility." said Blade. "This is getting serious," I firmly said, "Something needs to be done. People are going missing left right and centre and you're doing nothing about it!" "Luke, calm down," said Blade, "I AM doing something about it." "Oh yeah?" I said, "Like what? That sh*tty bit of text in yesterday's paper? You could hardly see it." "That had nothing to do with me," said Blade, "Katie is the one who writes the articles." "Yeah, right," I said, "With some influence from you." Blade didn't look happy. He took a step forward and have me a rather intimidating look which made my arsehole twitch a bit. "I don't know what you're trying to imply, Luke," said Blade, "But if you have a problem with me or you've got something on your mind, don't play games or beat about the bush. Come out and say what you've got to say." I paused for a second and then plucked up the courage to be direct with Blade. Well... Sort of direct. "Ok," I tentatively said, "Well... It just seems to me that you're not taking all these disappearances seriously and... Well... To be honest, you turning up at Katies like this seems a bit weird." Blade gave a tiering sigh. "Luke," he said, "I've told why I'm here at Katie's and as for not taking these disappearances seriously, nothing could be further from the truth. I AM concerned that more people seem to be going missing. If they're dead then they'll come back as infected and having an infected walking, or viciously running around the island is not something I want. I've told you Luke, my priority is the safety of everyone on this Island." Blade walked out of Katie's flat, locked the door and put his hand on my shoulder. "Trust me, Luke," he said, "I'm looking into it. I want us all to be safe, and to stay safe. You don't need to be suspicious of me Luke. I'm probably one of the few people on this Island you can really trust." Blade started to walk off and then as he got to the end of the corridor, he stopped and turned around. "Oh," he said, "I'm glad I bumped into you. I need you to go to Lanes End Primary School tomorrow. I told the teacher you'd give the kids a talk on being frozen." "Oh, thanks a lot," I bluntly said. "Oh, you'll be alright," said Blade, "The school's a few streets away from where you live. You can walk there in ten minutes. Telling thirty ten-year olds all about yourself; you'll be great." "Do I really have to do it?" I asked. "Yes," said Luke, "Get there for nine. Mis Briggs is expecting you. Don't worry about Katie and your Mum. We'll get it all sorted. Just leave everything to me. You worry about what you're going to say to those kids tomorrow morning." Blade then walked off, leaving me feeling that I'd been dumped in the sh*t.

I really don't know if I can believe a word Blade says. I know that what he's saying sounds believable, but I've got a really bad feeling. His whole demeanour is causing me to feel suspicious. He keeps saying he's looking into it, but what exactly does that mean!? Maybe I should have asked him. If I haven't had an update from him within a couple of days or so I'm going to go back around and demand answers. I might take Mike with me though. For now, I have to plan what I'm going to say to all these bl**dy kids tomorrow morning...
