Why?

Why couldn't he just enough for once. . .?

Why was the world so fucking cruel to someone who tried?

Why did he always get the sour end of the stick.

His tears burned his cheeks like the sweetest acid, his nails made crescent indents into his plush thighs.

If he was going to be feeling emotional pain, he might as well feel physical pain.

There was no point in trying to save himself.

He was drowning.

Drowning in his break-up.

Drowning in his debt.

Drowning in the pressure to be perfect.

It engulfed him, swallowed him. Consumed him.

The sea was rough, he was stupid enough to go out.

To try his luck if you will.

He was a stupid sailor, sailing on love's waters.

Testing his luck, and that's where he met someone he thought was similar to him.

Skeppy.

They bonded over the rough seas, and suddenly Bad wasn't afraid of the sea.

He felt as if he could jump into it and be saved, felt like he could trust Skeppy to save him from drowning.

He was always so naive. . .

The seas were getting rougher now, they went from small and intricate waves to giant monstrosities.

Skeppy was caught in the waves.

Bad jumped to save him.

Bad carried Skeppy's unconscious body to the top of the waves, holding him up to the gods.

He prayed that his love would be saved.

And he was.Skeppy's body floated above the waves, safely on the boat that Bad had created.

And there he was, Bad was being thrown around in the waves.

His mouth tasted of the toxic salt water, it engulfed him.

It filled his lungs, his mind, his mouth.

The water possessed him as he was carried under the waves.

The waves was now his only friend.

Skeppy was irrelevant.

All he knew now were the cold waves which took him in.

They were his only friends.

And he was ok in their arms, for as long as salt water was in his veins.

He was safe
