"Blue?" Liam nudged me gently. "Blue? Wake up, will yer? Blue-"
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"Is it time to get up yet?"
I picked up my phone and checked the time. "No. Not for a couple hours. I have an alarm set." I set my phone back down on the nightstand.
He tutted. "I don't trust them alarm clocks. Or them alarm phones. I'm much better off..." He sat up with a grunt as he stretched and yawned. "I'm a proper rooster, me. Cock of the North. I've always been an early bird, me."
I rolled my eyes. "That may be so but ya don't gotta get up this early."
"Maybe not but...you lot can stay in bed for a bit. I'll get up and make the tea-"
"That's okay." I told him latching onto his wrist to keep him from leaving the bed. "Noel won't like ya messin' about in the kitchen."
"What he don't know won't kill 'im." He jerked his hand out of my grasp.
But I grabbed right back on a little tighter. "It's Noel. He knows everythin'!"
"No, he fuckin' don't!" He shook his head yanking himself free of me once more. "If anybody knows everythin' it's me!" He pointed at himself. "Like how to make the fuckin' tea 'cuz fuck knows he don't-"
"It's too early for tea. C'mon. Lay back down." I pulled on him to do so.
He acquiesced a lot easier than I expected him to. He nuzzled into me as I pulled him into my chest. I coddled him as close as I could since that was the only way I was going to get him to stay in bed.
I massaged his scalp running my fingers through his hair. I stroked him along his bottom jaw.
He moaned and whimpered softly enjoying every bit of his petting...until I moved further down.
He juked at the sensation. "We better not." He said. "'Cuz if we ruin Our Kid's sheets he'll kill us!"
I smirked at him. "What he don't know won't kill 'im!"
He smirked back.
I cupped the back of his head and crushed my lips on his. I pulled him closer to me and crawled on top of me wrapping his arms around me.
I woke up with a gasp when the alarm clock went off a few hours later.
Liam did the same gripping onto me a little tighter. "Where's me clothes?" He grunted.
"Somewhere around here." I replied unsure of where they disappeared to.
I left him to find them and exited the room.
Gene stepped out into the hallway at the exact same time as me. "Mornin'." He greeted me with a yawn.
I flashed him a groggy peace sign.
"Dad up yet?" He yawned again.
"Oh, yeah." I nodded. "He's always up before anyone else."
"Right. So, what shall we do with?" He nodded at the closed bedroom door down the hall.
"I'll deal with him when the time comes." I offered. "But we need to get them cows ready first."
