I felt a bit weird watching Liam as he slept but at the same time I didn't care. It was the kind of thing I'd spent years dreaming about. And now it was happening in real life.
The sun was beginning to shine through the windows. It was supposed to be another gorgeous day in Marylebone.
Liam began to stir as the sunlight brightened his cheeks. He sighed and stretched a little before opening those eyes.
"Mornin'." He said groggily.
"Morning." I replied.
"Were you watchin' me sleep?" He grinned slightly.
I blushed a little with a nod. "Had to see if you'd start singing again."
"You what?"
"Last night, you started singing in your sleep." I told him. "Do you always do that?"
"I never do that." He said quickly. "Ya musta been hearin' things or summat."
"Yeah." I said but I didn't agree.
"So when's our Noel due back?"
"Next week. Give him a bit of time to get his shit together before heading off on tour." I couldn't believe how fast the time had flown. Noel's band added a few North American dates for the coming summer, none of which were close to my hometown.
'Maybe it's a sign you'll still be in England at that point.' I hoped.
I said maybe
"He'll miss the match then." Liam pointed out.
"Yeah I know." I replied. "He was a bit upset about that but happy he got invited to do that interview before he left."
"What interview?"
"The one with that Jamie guy from Liverpool. It's gonna be shown on Soccer AM this weekend."
"Oh goodie." He said quietly.
I smirked at the realization I might have been getting a rise out of him. The only thing left to do was see if I could keep it up.
"I saw a clip from it online. I love Jamie's accent."
He looked at me curiously.
"It's quite attractive, that Liverpudlian drawl." I went on. "But I suppose most Northern dialects are."
"That's fuckin' right!" He agreed. "We do everythin' better up North. Football, music, even pullin' American birds with the way we talk."
"We?" I echoed. "Last time I checked, you lived in the South. And you lost your Manc. You both did."
"Both? Fuck off! He's the one that sounds all posh and shit. Not me."
"Keep telling yourself that."
He rolled his eyes. "Ya always take the piss outta Noel this early in the mornin' too or am I just fuckin' lucky?"
"Nope." I shook my head. "I like taking the piss out of you. It's fun and it's way too easy."
He smiled. "You're cheeky, you are."
I grinned back. "Well when I spend so much time with a cheeky bastard, what do you expect?"
"What? So I'm a bastard now?"
