We All Want to Change Your Head

We headed back to London a couple days later, bidding the Cester clan farewell before making our way to our respective terminals at JFK. Matt had a big smile on his face but I suppose he always did.

Liam coerced me into finally returning to Pretty Green. It was a nice change of scenery and the store was hopping.

My first task was to follow Pat around while he sorted through racks deciding what should be on clearance to make room for the new stuff.

"We've got so many new things comin' out for Autumn, I dunno where we're gonna put 'em all." Pat said as he flipped through the rack.

"A bigger store?" I suggested.

He looked at me and chuckled as he continued to push through the clothes.

A while later, Pat sent me upstairs to input the list of items to go on clearance into a spread sheet. I was almost to my designated office when I heard a familiar mouth running.

"Right. Just go off 'til our Jules has had some time to cool down." He said. "A couple weeks, tops."

"Sounds good, mate." Another familiar voice replied.

"What the fuck?!" I muttered after a gasp.

I moved further down the corridor – just enough to see them without allowing them to see me...and there he fucking was.

I waved my hands dismissively at the pair as I took off to the office.

"Why the fuck's this door locked?" He yelled as he turned the knob. "Blue?"

'It's not locked, you doss bag!' I replied in my head as I turned the music up on the computer.

And it really wasn't.

Oh he's such a sucker

From her head to her toes

Oh he's such a sucker

From her head to her toes

"BLUE!"

I rolled my eyes and then looked back down at the computer.

He slammed his fist with a loud thud. "If you don't open this fuckin' door right now! I'll fuckin'-"

'You'll what?' I wondered sarcastically.

He's reachin' and a kissin' her mouth

"JULES!"

I sighed a little as I got up and went to the door. Once there, I moved the chair and continued to hold the door shut until I was out of the way.

"Why the fuckin' hell, Jesus!" He exclaimed as he almost lost his balance. Once he got himself adjusted, he stood and looked at me properly. "Why'd ya have that fuckin' door locked?"

"I didn't." I said with a small shake of my head.

He rolled his eyes. "Right."
