Sweet Cadaques to Figueres a forty minute ride

You drive it and I'll spend it looking out my window

We arrived in Valencia that afternoon. The sun was shining and the weather was gorgeous. It was hard to believe it was January.

A car picked us up at the airport and drove us wherever we wanted to go. I gazed out through the car window as we passed various buildings. They all looked so old yet modern. It was just another part of Europe I'd fallen in love with.

We drove past an orange grove and I could smell the oranges with the window rolled down.

"I feel like Keith Richards." I said as I looked over at Liam.

He chuckled with a wide open grin. "Think ya've got that backwards, Love." He replied. "I'm the one that's s'posed to feel like Keith Richards. You're s'posed to be Anita Pallenberg."

"What if I don't wanna be Anita Pallenberg?"

He shrugged. "Tough shit." He said flatly.

"Ugh!" I exclaimed before playfully slapping him.

"Ow!" He replied in fake hurt as he laughed.

Liam insisted we not go to the villa he rented us until the very end of the day.

I had a pretty good guess why.

He also insisted I wear my dress and the rest of my outfit for the whole day. I didn't mind that though because it was comfortable and I thought I looked pretty good.

Our first stop was the Mercado Central. The place was huge. There were so many vendors I didn't know where to begin.

We walked around for a bit to see what everyone had to offer.

"So how's it feel to be married?" Liam asked as we strolled hand-in-hand down an aisle.

"I don't know." I replied. "Not much different than being single I guess. Except now I've got this ring on my finger." I grinned as I held my hand up to show it to him.

We got each other silver Claddagh rings which we wore on our left middle fingers. We thought it'd be fun to do things slightly less traditional and not get bands for our ring fingers. Our Claddagh rings matched for the most part except mine had a diamond on the heart. I still wore my engagement ring as well.

We bought groceries at the market so we could cook at the villa.

After spending the rest of the afternoon sightseeing around the city, we headed to the villa. We checked-in but didn't go inside.

"Can't go inside just yet." Liam said.

"Why?" I asked him a little puzzled. Our bags had already been sent to the room so we didn't have to worry about it.

"Just can't." He replied.

Since we couldn't go to the room for whatever odd reason, we went to the beach. We didn't change into our bathing suits. The only thing we took off was our shoes.

"From there to there is ours." He said as he pointed to show me the area that consisted of our private part of the beach. "That one up there's our gaff." He pointed at a villa that sat up on a bit of a hillside above the beach.

"Cool." I replied.

It wasn't the same one that he showed me online a couple months back. I was definitely curious to see what it looked like.
