LMPYITP: The Random Passages

Reflective Statement

            First of all, I just want to say thank you so much for taking the time to read my stories. I can't say enough how much I appreciate all your reads, votes, comments, and adding my stories to your reading lists. It really means a lot.

I suppose I wanted to take the time to write this message to you to inform you on where my stories are going and to reflect on how they've come. I assure you all of my stories are far from over. I'll break things up in sections to discuss things further. There might be spoiler alerts in this just so you know.

Let Me Put You In The Picture – In General

I honestly can't believe how far this story has come. I really didn't expect it to find an audience as big and as quickly as it has. It's been a lot of fun for me to write. I had no idea where it was going when I first started writing it. It was originally going to be another short story featuring Noel instead of Liam but then the ideas just started flowing and haven't stopped yet.

Currently, the setting of the story is in late spring of 2017. Since I have no idea what will happen so far into the future with the real Liam and Noel, I've taken the liberty of writing total fiction. To be honest, I both like and dislike doing this. I like it because it's fun writing it but at the same time I dislike it because I don't want it to lose the sense of reality most Oasis fanfictions have because they reference real life events. This story was never meant to be an Oasis one because it takes place way after Oasis broke up. Of course there will always be references to Oasis but ultimately, this story is a Liam and Noel fanfiction. I try to make as many references to real life events as I can but I'm running out of material. I don't think I could wait a year to pick up writing the story again just to see if anything major happens in the world of the Gallagher brothers so that's why I'm writing it the way I am now.

I'm going to continue this story as I have been and hope you continue to enjoy it. Sometimes I worry my ideas get a bit too out there but it seems like you've liked what I've written so far. I'll be honest, I live vicariously through Jules but don't we all do this when creating OFCs? I have a lot more ideas for her and the boys and I'm excited to see where I go with them.

Let Me Put You In The Picture – Version 1

I didn't expect to split the story into two versions but since I had a lot of ideas, I figured I'd go ahead. Originally, the story was just going to follow Jules going back to school before I decided to make two versions. But then, a loyal reader of mine inspired me to consider both ideas I had and so two versions were born.

I had an idea for Jules' and Liam's wedding created for quite a while but I didn't know where I'd put it in the story. I didn't just want to have them get married, Jules lose her virginity, and they both live happily ever after so that's why I held the wedding off for so long. Then I heard the song "Millionaire" by Beady Eye which further inspired me for the wedding. I never even listened to the song until after I decided they'd go to Spain on their honeymoon but it definitely fit the passage.

While I feel Version 1 is the more positive of the two versions, I still want to create drama for it. I'm not sure what this will entail but hopefully you'll like what I come up with.

Let Me Put You In The Picture – Version 2

I've liked writing Version 2 but know it's pretty negative. Jules is an absolute bitch most of the time but I guess I wanted to make her go dark a bit. I've lost my inspiration for this version it seems but I do hope to pick it back up soon.

I've left it ambiguous as far as what Jules is majoring in at school as I honestly don't know what she could study. I've had a couple ideas but for now I don't think it's really that important for her to declare a major.

Even if you don't care for this version, I still hope you read it just for the sake of keeping on track with things. If you don't like to read it though, I understand. There are times when I'm not even happy with it because Jules is so mean. But I wanted the two versions to be different and I think I've succeeded in that.

LMPYITP: The Random Passages

Since the story is so far into the future, I created the Random Passages to catch things I might miss regarding the Gallagher brothers in real life. I've enjoyed doing this and have a lot of fun incorporating new real life events into my story. I think at this point, the Random Passages are almost to Chapter 30 or so.

I know I've told you guys I'd be happy to do chapter revisit requests and I still am if anyone is interested. The reason I offer this is because I figure people may have favorite chapters or passages they like within the story that they may want to read from a different angle. I know I have favorite parts in stories I've read and would like to read them from different POVs. Anyway, I'll leave that door open should you decide to make a request. I'd be happy to write one if you do.

Originally, chapter revisits weren't going to be told from Liam's, Noel's, or any other characters' POVs because I wasn't sure how to write for anyone other than Jules. But now that I've gotten into writing for other characters, it's been a lot of fun so I think I'll keep doing it.

Other ideas that may or may not fit into the story are likely to occur as well in the Random Passages.

The Liam I've Created

I imagine Liam to be a very needy person so that's why I've written him that way. And he's also very possessive of Jules. I don't think he's controlling or abusive but he's definitely very reliant on her. I've made him faithful to her only because it seems like he's been faithful to Debbie in real life. Plus, I really enjoy writing their love story.

The Noel I've Created

I imagine Noel as being the voice of reason and someone Jules can rely on when Liam gets too hot headed. Sometimes, I think they're a bit too close for comfort but at the same time I think it's okay.

Well, I suppose that's everything I wanted to say in this note. I'm sorry if I get repetitive in my author's notes but I guess it's my way of checking in. I'll probably write more of these reflective statements as I see fit.

Once again, thank you so much for your support. I truly appreciate it and can't say that enough. More updates are coming in both Version 1 and the Random Passages. Hopefully tomorrow if I can get them together. They're about half written so we'll see.
