The fight is over. The Avengers have officially broken up.
"Buck, are you sure you want to do this?" Steve asks.
"I can't trust my own mind..."
You turn away, towards the window. You can't help but let the tears fall down your face. Over the last few days, you've gotten to know Bucky. Well, as much as he can remember.
"(Y/n)? Are you okay?" you hear Bucky's voice come from behind you.
You quickly run over to him, and wrap your arms around him.
"I'll be fine, doll.." he whispers.
You nod. "I know.. but who else am I supposed to look after?"
After Bucky is put into cryo, you find yourself talking to T'Challa.
"Miss (y/ln), if you would like.. We could always use a scientist like yourself here in Wakanda..." T'Challa tells you.
"Really?" You ask.
You only agreed to be closer to Bucky. But of course you didn't know when they would let him out. But you didn't care. Being close to him made you feel safe, at home. And little did you know he felt the same way.
