"Dammit! And we gotta get back home in by Christmas!" You said.
"Wait how far away is Christmas?" Sae-byeok asked. You looked at the calendar and it read that today was the 22nd of December.
"3 days." You said. "Ohhh my mom's gonna kill me." You whined out.
"Honey, it's not that bad." Ali said. "We got enough food to last us for 3 days."
"Uhhhh, about that." Kija said. You all looked at him with wide eyes.
"Say sike right now!" Sang-woo said. Kija stood quiet. Sang-woo slammed his fist against the wall.
"Hey, hey! Calm down with that!" Aunt Hana said. "Anger solves nothing." Ali went up to Sang-woo to try and hug him.
"Hyung, it's gonna be al-" Sang-woo shook him off and stormed into the bedroom.
"I've never seen Sang-woo this upset." You said.
"Well the last time he got upset was when his father gave him a dictionary when he was little." Uncle Dal said. "It was a subtle insult because he said that Sang-woo needed to find a word in the dictionary for 'mess up' so he can use that word on him every time he sees him."
"That's awful." You said. "What kind of man says that to his own child?"
"A heartless one that is." Aunt Hana said. "I tried to tell sister to leave him but she stayed with him when she was revealed to be pregnant with Sang-woo and when he found out, he told her that when he's born, he better become something good in life to repay him for the 9 months of hell he put him through." Your heart broke after hearing that. You went to the bedroom to see Sang-woo sitting on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands.
"Sang-woo?" You began.
"Don't...just get out." Sang-woo groaned out. "I'm already in a bad mood." You didn't say another word and just walked back out.
"Well?" Ali asked.
"He...doesn't want to be bothered." You said nervously. Gi-hun sighed.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean for that to happen." Gi-hun said. You ran your fingers through his hair and kissed his cheek, reassuring him that it's alright.
"Well, we still gotta find some to eat and keep warm." Sae-byeok said. "One of us is going have to tunnel their way through that snow and get to the store."
"I'll go." You said but Gi-hun stopped you.
"No, I got us into this mess and I wanna take responsibility." Gi-hun said as he made his way to the door. "I'll go." He opened the door to see the wall of snow then began to push the snow out of the way, beginning to create a tunnel. You began to worry.
"What if he freezes to death?" You asked. "It's like -2 degrees out there."
"Trust me, Gi-hun has his moments where he's impervious to cold weather." Ali said.
"No kidding, I remember Freshman year when he was able to go through a blizzard in just his jacket." Sae-byeok said.
"Well now what?" You asked.
"Why don't we all just tell stories while we wait?" Ali said as he sat down in front of the fireplace.
"Booorrrriiinnnngggg." Kija dragged out. Aunt Hana bonked him on the head with a rolling pin.
"Hush up, at least he's trying to make things positive." You sat in between Sae-byeok and Ali.
"Okay so what should we talk about?" You asked.
