Nerissa pov: "Alright Nessie It is time for us to show you where you'll be staying."

I nodded as Mumei-senpai had Sana-senpai open a portal to their place. I had a thought: "What about the others? I asked

"They aren't going to be living there." Kiara-senpai brought up

"Fair point..."

"Can we hitch a ride? I want to go home to relax for a few minutes," Reine-senpai said.

Kiara nodded. "You can."

I noticed Kiara-senpai seemed close to Reine-senpai, like very close. I have a jealous feeling. I don't want to see anyone this close to my Phoenix, but at the same time, she is my sister.

Nerissa, are you good? Shiori asked me as she entered the room.

"Wai—you know I'm going, and yes, I'm good!" I responded

"Of course I know you are going, and I don't mind that Bijou is the only one opposed to you leaving; she thinks this is a trap, and it may very well be one."

Mumei-senpai glared at Shiori, actually making her step back. "Say that again..." she coldly said.

"Nothing. Senpai, I'll be going."

Seeing Shiori show fear was actually nice, even against that glass. Matsuri-senpai didn't show fear.

"Go through the portal with Kiara."

Mumei-senpai seemed to want to discipline Shiori. "Uh—Mumei. Actually, you go!" Kiara-senpai said

"Fine..." The owl sighed as she walked over to Kaela-senpai and Zeta-senpai, grabbing them both and saying, "Selen, hurry up!" She then shouted:

"I know!" The purple-haired dragon yelled

Mumei-senpai let the three others go in first and then had Sana adjust the portal so we'd be transported directly into my room.

"Let's go!" Kiara-senpai cheered as she lunged in

They are so energetic; it is adorable, to be honest. I stepped through the portal, and when I came out the other side, I was shocked. "This is all for me? I questioned

"Yeah, and you have a fairly small room." Mumei-senpai clarified

"Small!? I would hate to see big..."

"We have a ton of vacant rooms for birds of all shapes and sizes; really, we don't plan on leaving any bird out of the family."

As this was being explained, I noticed that Kiara-senpai stuck her head out of the door and motioned for someone to come over. "Oh, Wawa, you're back." Calliope-senpai nonchalantly said:

"Way to address your wife..." Kiara-senpai mumbled in a cheerful fashion.

"Wife—Wife!?" I said it once again, despite knowing they were married before.

Reine-senpai looked at me and smiled at me. "Don't feel sad about this," she told me, like she knew how I felt about this situation.

"Dude. You should really try this supplement I made!" Calliope-senpai suggested as she handed Ollie-senpai a milkshake.

"Wha—What's in it?" Ollie-senpai asked hesitantly.

"Nothing gross," Calliope-senpai reaffirmed.

"You know—I'll pass," Ollie-senpai sighed.

Calli-senpai seemed upset that Ollie-senpai didn't drink it. Mumei stole it and chugged it. "Ingredients that only affect zombies are nice," she laughed.

Calliope-senpai looked at Mumei-senpai with disbelief that she figured that out just by chugging it.

"Calli, can you please get Nerissa something to eat? She is probably starving after everything she has been through." Kiara-senpai suggested

"Sure, what do you like?" She asked

"Pretty much anything; I'm not picky, senpai," I told her.

"Ramen it is then," she sighed.

"Calli, I'll make it with you!" Kiara-senpai said

"Sure?" Calliope-senpai said she was confused since making ramen is a one-man job.

"Moom, are you hungry?" Zeta-senpai asked

"Sure, I'll just have bread. Actually, ramen too," Mumei-senpai said.

"Okay!" Zeta-senpai said happily

"What's up with Zeta-senpai?" I asked

"You see, Zeta and Mumei-senpai have been friends for a while, and Zeta respects and loves Mumei-senpai a lot, so her loyalty has gone to her, and she will do anything for her as her right-hand girl." Kaela-senpai explained

If this were any other goddess, I would say that Zeta-senpai was the goddess lapdog. "Really a lapdog? Mumei-senpai laughed

"Shit—I really should try to block my mind."

"You really should because I'm always listening in." Mumei-senpai claimed

"Wait, you both can read minds?" Calliope-senpai said

Yes," Mumei-senpai and I said together.

"How the hell do you even begin to do that? How do you read minds?" Ollie-senpai asked

"For me, it is a divine power," Mumei-senpai explained.

"For me, it is a power derived from sound," I told her.

"Sure, because why not? How the hell does sound power make it so you can read minds?"

"Brain frequencies," I said.

Ollie-senpai didn't seem to understand this, but why would she? She barely has any thoughts to read anyway.

"Brain frequencies: you need to learn how to shut your own off without shutting down your cognitive functions; it's just that you're so easy to read, Nessie." Mumei-senpai said

Senpai, you can read me like a book!"

Kiara-senpai, Mumei-senpai, and Reine-senpai looked at me. "What a freak!" they all said.

"I'm a dirty, filthy girl! Sue me!" I yelled

The three of them just continued what they were doing, and eventually Ramen was placed in front of me.

"Enjoy," Calliope-senpai told me.

I began to scarf it down since I was starving. Prison food was awful, so I didn't eat for a while. It's good. I mumbled

"Isn't it hot?" Kiara-senpai asked

"Oh—God Yeah!" I mumbled

"She's a masochist." Mumei-senpai called out

I am not used to being read like a book. I looked around, and I realized I didn't vow I wouldn't be here taking handouts from a god, yet I'm in the care of my beautiful older owl goddess sister and stuff, and I'm grateful for it.

"Thank you!" I told everyone

They all seemed taken aback, but this should help me fully recover.
