Chapter fifteen

Hunter walked into Roni's alongside Lucy as they sat down, Roni pushing a glass of cocoa as she gave a sad smile. 

''What's the cocoa for?''

''Well, keeping up this ruse about Henry is hard on you. I can tell.''  ''But until I get my hands on some magic, there's no way to undo what Ivy's done.'' When Hunter saw the sad look on her face, he put his hand on hers. 

''Hey, keeping your mom and dad apart keeps him alive.''

''At least my mom has Sabine.'' She spoke as she took a small sip, her head turning to Hunter and Roni. ''Henry has nobody to cheer him up.''

''You know, your dad might be kind of a loner here, but before the curse, he had some pretty great friends.''

''Like... fairy-tale friends?'' She questioned, Hunter quickly getting onto her idea. 

''His three best friends were Lillian,'' Roni's gaze went to Hunter, who smirked at her. ''Captain Hook and Jack. Here, they're known as Detective Rogers and... Nick.''

''You mean my dad and my cursed dad were friends?''

''Yeah.''

Lucy sighed as she shook her head, her face scrunching in a confused one. ''How does that help us here?''

''I bet if we get your dad and his old friends together... fate'll do the rest.''

''I'm on it.'' She smiled as she high-fived Hunter. ''Operation Bromance is a go.''

Henry was standing in front of a game, Lillian walking into the arcade stopping in her tracks as she looked at Henry, it had been so long. Lillian and the twins had used their last magic on a short term memory potion as Henry had seen the picture of Lillian and Peter. Sophie had slipped him the potion before he left to go to the arcade. 

Lillian, who went as Talia stared at him a bit longer before walking towards him. 

''You're pretty good at that.'' Just as she spoke, he died on the game again, making his head turn to her with a glare. ''Sorry, didn't want to distract you.'' She pointed at the names, smiling at her fake name. ''You're in the spot above me, I'm Talia by the way.'' 

''Nice to meet you Talia.'' He smiled as he put in another token, allowing her to play. ''And nice to meet someone who appreciates DEFCON. 1'' She smiled as she nodded. 

''My ...'' she stopped tyalking for a moment, trying to figure something out. ''friend, Sophie told me about it.''

''Sophie? She's a pretty good friend of mine actually. Both her and Hunter.'' When Talia died as well, she allowed Henry to play again, even though he lost again.

''Yeah, I was always more of a pinball man myself.'' Their heads turned to Hook, or Rogers. Lillian swallowed past the lump in her throat as she looked at her 'Wish' cousin. 

''I held the high score for weeks on this game, and then... JBH went and claimed it. But I've got a stack of tokens and an evening committed to undoing this injustice.''

''Yeah. Noble quest for sure. But I've got to be honest, I thought be out wooing Jacinda.''

''Yeah, well, I've actually downgraded from wooing to giving her some space.'' Lillian's face dropped at that, even though Lucy was trying to keep them apart, Lily wanted Henry to be happy. ''But aside from seeing me at geek DEFCON 1, what are you doing here?''

''You tell me. Lucy texted me saying you had a lead on my case.'' he spoke up, seeing Henry's face change in a second.

''She did?''
