Proverbs

     Trust in the Lord with all.
          your heart,
     And lean not on your own.
          understanding;
     In all your ways.
          acknowledge Him,
      And he shall direct your.
           paths.
             Proverbs 3:5-6

     This a powerful, popular verse; I heard Dr. Ben Carson quote it on tv. When I first read this verse it really touched me. We are here for God.

     My son, do not despise the.
          chastening of the Lord,
     Nor detest his correction;
     For whom the Lord loves.
          He corrects,
     Just as a father the son in.
         whom he delights.
              Proverbs 3:11,12

     Chasten - to cause (someone) to feel sad or embarrassed about something that has happened
I have been corrected quite often. I am trying to cleanse my soul, through prayer, of the sins that I have committed. Not real fun, and it's weird, the enlightened feeling I get afterward.
     I feel that with my commitment to the Lord, and the fact that I have now read his word, I don't have any excuses. "I am sorry God; I promise to do better. Love me and help me." I say this almost daily.
     Jerusalem has a lot of problems in today's world. They need our help. So I will conclude with Psalm 122:6-9 -

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls.
Prosperity within your palaces."
For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, "Peace be within you."
Because of the house of the Lord our God
I will seek your good.
Psalm 123:6-9

Note - Proverbs 3:5,6 is the first passage from the Bible (since I have been doing these) that hit home with me, and that I memorized. I thought about this verse as recently as yesterday.
I understand more but can't understand God's plan, yet. I know that you have to trust God and have faith in Him.  You have to let God guide you - He will direct your paths.

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
