So I said in my heart,
"As it happens to the fool,
It also happens to me,
And why was I then more wise?"
Then I said in my heart,
"This is also vanity."
For there is no more remembrance of the wise than of the fool forever,
Since all that now is will be forgotten in
the days to come.
And how does a wise man die?
As the fool!

What do we think of ourselves? Coach Paul "Bear" Bryant said, "When folks are ignorant, you don't condemn them, you teach'em." We are all born equal in God's eyes to serve whatever purpose he may have for us.
I believe vanity comes from the world. If two people were stranded on an island, would it matter if one were smarter than the other? No, they would have to work together to survive. We all have different abilities provided by God. Love and help others, do the best that you are capable of doing, and God will be pleased. Tell God that you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
