For this reason the gospel was preached also to those who are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:6-10
I had to include that first verse, oh no. I am not ashamed of showing my ignorance. Well, verse five is even more perplexing:
They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
As far as I know, God is gonna judge me when I am dead. The day of judgment is not here yet, so there are a bunch of souls that haven't been judged yet. Pastor Murray talks about souls being on different sides of a
gulf - Luke chapter 16.
I know, let's talk about love covering a multitude of sins. Love God and love others - it will be alright. Tell God that you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. Please read your Bible.
