O God, You know my foolishness;
And my sins are not hidden from You.
Let not those who wait for You,
O Lord God of hosts, be ashamed
because of me;
David is admitting that God is in control and knows everything. I don't know how one even begins to hide anything from God. He knows that we are going to make mistakes; we need to learn how to ask for forgiveness. Once we learn this, then God will absorb all the bad in our lives. Tell God that you love Him.
Note - it is good to be ashamed before God, be humbly ashamed in His Presence. We need to ask, but God will never be ashamed of us - He loves us too much. Respect and fear Him; be humble before Him; He will listen!
