The days of punishment have come;
The days of recompense have come.
Israel knows!
The prophet is a fool,
The spiritual man is insane,
Because of the greatness of your
iniquity and great enmity.
The watchman of Ephraim is with my
God;
But the prophet is a fowler's snare in
all his ways--
Enmity in the house of his God.
They are deeply corrupted,
As in the days of Gibeah.
He will remember their iniquity;
He will punish their sins.
Hosea 9:7-9
Judges 19:22 is listed as a reference to Gibeah:
As they were enjoying themselves, suddenly certain men of the city, perverted men, surrounded the house and beat on the door. They spoke to the master of the house, the old man saying, "Bring out the man who came to your house, that we may know him carnally!"
Israel strayed from God. What good are prophets when no one believes in God? At this point they were angry sinners that didn't want to listen. Don't worry, they will get straightened out. Tell God that you love Him.
Enmity - the state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
