I was at the post office and said to the lady working, "Before I leave, I need your "thought for the day."
She looked at me, the corners of her eyes slightly crinkled, and said through a semi choked-up voice, "I want peace for my family."
She explained, this year, that her 31 year-old daughter had died and another daughter had lost a leg. The mood grew serious as I was not expecting this. I said that I would pray for her. Her daughter left behind three young children. They all need our prayers. You just never know what people are going through on this earth.
Will keep this short and sweet, Paul is talking to the men of Athens about God being close to us all:
"so that they should seek the Lord, in
the hope that they might grope for Him
and find Him, though He is not far from
each one of us;
Acts 17:27
Note - Her daughter was texting and driving. Tell God you love Him.
The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
