'You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD."
I'm guilty, relating to this verse. I have a tattoo of my fraternity house on my ankle. I didn't know at the time. I choose to refer to 1 Corinthians 13:11 - the vanity of youth. As far as cutting flesh for the dead, it was practiced in biblical times.
Now you know, I didn't. God doesn't want you to mark yourself in any way. Tattoos have become very popular - the vanity of man. I know many people do not know - shame on us.
A girl on Twitter posted that her first tattoo was gonna be a Bible verse. I replied to her and quoted this verse. Needless to say I didn't hear back from her. People don't know - if ignorant educate them. I wish someone would have educated me. Hopefully God will forgive me. Tell God you love Him.
