God Really Loved Moses

Then He said, "Hear now My words:

If there is a prophet among you,
I, the LORD, make Myself known
    to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream,
Not so with My servant Moses;
He is faithful in all My house.
I speak with him face to face,
Even plainly, and not in dark sayings;
And he sees the form of the LORD.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant Moses?
                    Numbers 12:6-8

     This love came at a price. The people of Israel complained so much to Moses that Moses asked God to kill him. I can't really believe that the people of Israel didn't have more faith in God - I mean, they saw his power firsthand.
The above paragraph is prior to the quoted verses. Miriam and Aaron are questioning Moses to each other. God gets mad at the them and Miriam becomes leprous while getting exiled for seven days. Moses asked God to heal her, or it may have been worse.
God loves you, and if he chooses you to do something, it is not all peaches and cream; it's usually something that is extremely difficult: serving God does have it's price, at least on earth.
Moses was an amazing man. He actually advised God in chapter fourteen. God had a special relationship with Moses. Tell God you love Him.

The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
