I Don't Say No (Phoenix x Reader x Klavier)

Your Pov:

I sat in the office sorting paperwork. Phoenix, Apollo, Trucy, and Athena left to visit Valant. I stayed behind, claiming that the office needed to be cleaned. Phoenix begged me to go, seeing as we haven't spent a lot of time together since we got married. I still declined. I swept and mopped the floors and cleaned the desks. After a while, I heard a knock at the door. I put the rag down and went to the door. I opened it and that's when Mr. Klavier Gavin walked into my life.

He spoke, "I know you are a woman of honor. I'm so sorry to bother you at home, but I don't know where to go." I listened as he spoke, "My brother's been doing me wrong. Beating me, cheating me, mistreating me...suddenly he's up and gone. I don't have the means to go." I offered him, "Can I walk you home?" I also gave him some money I socked away.

He lived about three blocks away. He turned to me, "This one's mine miss." I turned, "Well I should get back home..." He grabbed my hand, "Wait. Please come in. It's the least I can do for you." I let him take me inside. As we walked through the house, he turned red. He led me to his bed and let his legs spread, "Stay~" I took a step back, "Um...Hey..." He lazily grinned, "Hey~"

My thoughts were running. Show me how to say no to this! How do I say no to this?! He looks so helpless and...his body's saying hell yes! I don't know how to say no to this! There was no where I could go and then his mouth was on mine and I couldn't say no...

After we finished, I felt horrible. I wish I could say this was the last time, amd I did say that last time, but it became a pastime. Instead of it doing at his home, it always happened at the office. A month into this affair, I received a letter from a 'Mr. Kristoph Gavin'. Even better, it said:

Dear Ma'am, I hope this letter finds you in good health and in a prosperous enough situation to put wealth in the pockets of like me: down on their luck. You see, that was my brother you decided to...You made the wrong sucker a cuckold. So time to pay the piper for the pants you unbuckled. Hey, you can keep seein' my whore brother if the price is right: if not I'm telling your husband.

That day, I hid the letter and raced to his house. I found him in his room. I screamed in his face, "How could you?!" He looked surprised, "No, miss!" He was half dressed and a mess. Apologetic...Pathetic really. He reached towards me, "Please don't go miss!" I backed away, "So was your whole story a set up?" He shook his head, "I don't know about any letter!"

Surprisingly, he started to cry. I glared at him, "Stop crying. Goddammit get up!" He stood, the tears stopping, "I didn't know any better." I put my head in my hands, "I am ruined!" He grabbed my shoulder, "Please don't leave me with him helpless!" I shook my head, "I am helpless! How could I do this?!" He sighed, "Just give him what he wants and you can have me!"

I pushed him away, "I don't want you!" He grabbed my hands, "Whatever you want..." I tried to pull away, "I don't want you..." He pulled me closer, "If you pay, you can stay." I sighed, "I don't..." It was happening all over again. Show me how to say no to this. To him! I can say no to this! I...I can't say no...I looked at him, "Well...the situation's helpless..." His body is saying hell yes...No! Show me how to say no! But, how can I say no to this? There is no where I can go...

Suddenly, his body was on mine and I didn't say no! Another night was spent with him. In the morning, Kristoph sat in the living room with Klavier standing behind him, "So?" I closed my eyes, "Nobody needs to know." After that, I saw Klavier a few more times before I stopped all together. I was married to the man I thought I loved, but I just had an affair under his and my adoptive children's noses!

The week before they were due to return home, I cried myself to sleep every night. I knew that Phoenix would probably want a divorce and take the kids away from me. I only had one back up plan: Act as if nothing happened and move on with my life. What they don't know won't hurt them, right? I had to be careful around the kids because they knew how to expertly read someone.

I hid the letter in my hidden desk compartment. I could never let anyone see it. I could already tell that Edgeworth would be angry with me. Phoenix was like a brother to him. I just had to hope that my secret never came to light.

All because I couldn't say no...
