A/N: In this one shot, every character is a wolf. This is not like my previous wolf shifter one shots. This is 100% wolves and everyone can talk like humans. There are two ranks: Alpha and Omega. The reader is an Alpha. However, this is not like an Omegaverse type of thing. Got it? Good!
Your Pov:
I sat in the den with my brother - Garth - and my father, Tony. Father was pacing. He stopped, "We're running low on food! Our pack is starving!" Garth spoke up, "But what can we do? The Western Pack is where all the resources are." Father chuckled, "I've spoken to Winston and we've come to an agreement of sorts." My ears twitched, "An agreement?" Father looked at Garth, "You will marry his daughter and unite the packs." I looked at father, "What do I have to do with this?"
He sighed, "Since Winston has no sons, I have something else in mind for you. I've found another alpha in the Western Pack that has a son." He looked towards Garth, "So if your brother fails, you might still have a chance. You'll meet them at the Howling Rock for the Moonlit Howl." I looked at him, "As you wish, father." Garth spoke from behind me, "Ok, dad." I stood up on all four paws, "I'm going to get ready, then." I trotted out of the den, leaving my father and Garth to talk. I went to a nearby flower field and picked a flower to place in the fur by my ear.

I took the flower back to the den and Garth helped me get ready. Then, for the final touch, he put the flower in my fur. He spoke, "You look beautiful, sis." I spoke, "Thanks. I hope everything goes well." He chuckled, "I hope so too, but if this wolf makes you uncomfortable, I'll take care of him." I rolled my eyes, "I'm not a pup anymore, you know." He sighed, "I know, I know, but you're my sister. I'm supposed to protect you." I smiled, "And I'm thankful for that. Now, let's go. We're going to be late."
We walked out of the den and to Howling Rock. As we walked up the path, Garth spoke, "Now, I know you can take care of yourself, but just remember: go for the throat and don't let go until they stop struggling." I nodded, "Ok, ok. I got it." I made my way to the ledge I was supposed to meet this wolf at. I sat and practiced howling for a bit. Then, I was interrupted by a voice, "Your howling is beautiful." I paused and turned to see a gray-ish silver wolf behind me.
He had a patch of white fur on his chest, just under his neck. He spoke, "You're (Y/n) of the Eastern Pack, correct?" I nodded, "Yes. And you are?" He sat in front of me, "Miles Edgeworth. Pleasure." I looked towards another ledge and spotted Garth and his 'date'. I looked back towards Miles, "Well, shall we?" He nodded and we howled together for a bit. Our howls sounded wonderful together, but something about it felt wrong. I stopped howling, "I'm, uh, going to get a drink. I'll be back."
Miles nodded, "Alright. I'll be here." I made my way down and headed to a small pond. I took a drink and looked around. Then, another wolf made his way out of the bushes. He was completely black and his fur was spiked up by his ears. I spoke, "Hello. Who are you?" He tilted his head, "I'm Phoenix. I'm second in command for the omegas." I smiled, "I'm (Y/n)." We talked for a bit more, enjoying each other's company. I was a bit saddened by the fact that he was an omega. He was kind of cute, actually.
He looked at me, then looked towards the moon, "Howl with me?" I looked down. He sighed, "I'm sorry. It's just the moon and the moment. I thought..." I shook my head, "It's ok." He looked towards the moon and began to howl on his own. I sighed, thinking, 'It wouldn't hurt to break the rules just once.' I got closer and started to howl with him.
This time, it felt right. It felt like our howls matched. Then, the peace was broken by my father's voice, "(Y/n)? (Y/n)! Where are you?" He was getting closer to the pond. I looked at Phoenix, "You need to go! Hurry!" Phoenix went back to the bushes he came from and turned to me, "Will I see you again?" I nodded, "Yes. Go!" Then, he ran off just as my father entered from the other side.
