DANIELLE'S POV

*One Week Later*

"You know what, I think you would look pretty as a blonde." Skyler smiled.

"I've had black hair all my life though."

"Well, why not change it up a bit?"

"Okay." I smiled, kissing him.

I went home and walked up to my mom.

"Mom, can we dye my hair tonight?"

"Sure, what color?"

"Blonde."

"Blonde?"

"Yeah, I think it's time for a change."

"Alright, I'll have your dad pick up some on the way home."

I walked into school the next day and once Ember saw me, she gasped.

"Danielle!"

"You like?" I smiled.

"Yeah, but-"

"Hey! I knew you'd look good with blonde hair." Skyler smiled, wrapping his arms around my waist. I giggled and rested my head on his chest. Ember grumbled something and I looked over at her.

"What'd you say?" She grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of Skyler's grasp, to the opposite side of the hall.

"I knew this was Skyler's doing!"

"What! You don't like it?"

"I don't like him Danielle! I don't like what he's doing and how you're just letting it happen because you want a boyfriend!"

"What are you talking about?"

"You're doing everything he tells you to do! He's changing you Danielle."

"Yeah, for the better."

"Fuck it, I'm done. Talk to you later." She huffed and stormed off.

"What's her problem?" Skyler asked, walking up to me.

"She's just jealous."

"Maybe you should try to find other friends Danielle."

"What?"

"She's getting in the way of us!"

"I-I don't know Skyler. She's bee my friend since sixth grade."

"Just think about it, alright? Now let's get to class." I nodded and followed him to the science hall.
