She went to visit NY with Jughead and their families and Archie brought Veronica. Jess recognizes her uncle's house and he brought them in and Jess wheeled around the house as she found photos of her with her parents.
"Oh my goodness really, Uncle John?"
The photo shows Jess sitting in the recording booth with her beloved father and mother.
"It was the best day ever with you!"
John smiled.
With Archie, Jughead and Veronica she wheeled into her uncle's studio and she said.
"What is in these boxes?"
They went through them and they found recordings of her parents. Jughead said.
"Let hear one!"
Jessica had to get her uncle to set up the equipment and they played one recording that Matt wrote to sing with Emily and eventually Faith Hill and Tim McGraw recorded it. Jughead said pleading as he held her hand.
"Baby I wanna record this with you."
Jess sighed and said.
"Ok."
She got her uncle and explained Jughead's idea. John was excited but John has no idea what to expect from his niece. They got into the booth facing each other.
"This was your Daddy's idea in order to get your Momma to sing."
Jessica smile visualizing the moment.
"I can see that."
Archie grabs their parents and FP to see this recording then they come and watch Jughead and Jess take on Matt's song as Fred recalled Matt writing the song as if it was yesterday. The melody started and Jess began.

John was speechless at the vocals that Jess inherits from his sister Emily. Jughead held Jessica's hand as he sing to her as he meant every word.

The two sang the chorus.

During the guitar part Jughead smiled. The two then finished the song.

John was amazed after the two were done. They came out of the booth and John hugged her niece.
"You obviously inherit your mom voice. As you sang I felt a strong presence of your mom as if she sang it for the first time."
He wiped his tears. Jess said.
"It brought back so many memories of watching my parents sing."
