"I know you ain't crying" I chuckle lowly glancing at Elijah then back at the ultrasound listening to Squirts heartbeat
"I am" he chuckles wiping his eyes then took my hand in his. "this is so surreal to me"
"Look, Squirt has your lips" I frown glancing at the screen
"The baby also has chubby cheeks" the nurse nods
"My heart is melting" smiling wildly I squeezed Elijah's hand. "this is exciting!"
"I know" he grins
The nurse wiped the liquid off my stomach then pulled my shirt down.
She wrote something on paper then folded it twice putting it in a envelope she gave it to me.
"Here you go, I'll be back in a few minutes with the teddy bear. Please remember to stay stress free, eat healthy and walk or exercise regularly it'll help with your labor and your body will be more than likely to go back to how it was before your pregnancy"
"Mm I don't know about all that, I'll stay stress free though" I mumble as she left the room
"I'll tell Benjamin change the meal plans" Elijah nods taking out his phone "Babe I'm going to check on my gym later, want to join me?"
"Fuck no" I sang shaking my head "hell no"
"First time you choose to sing in months and that's what you say?" shaking his head he messaged Benjamin then Geovani
"Uh Uh what did you text Geo?"
"Mind your business" he mushed my head back gently
"But if I shoot you I'm wrong" I scoff standing up, stretching I shook my legs yawning "I'm hungry, buy me lunch"
"Benjamin is already preparing lunch for you"
"Then buy me snacks"
"I'm not buying you anything" he rolls his eyes
"That's neglect" mushing his head I frowned side eyeing him
"No it's not" laughing he pecks my lips wrapping his arms around me "is princess coming home today?"
"Depends if she wants to" shrugging I leaned into him
"Call and ask"
"No, Pops will call if Delilah says she's ready to come home"
"I miss my princess, she needs to come home today"
"Who said I didn't want you to myself for a while?" I question side eyeing him "you don't want to be with me?"
"Babe what? All I'm saying is I miss our kid-I feel like you're trapping me with these trick questions" Elijah frowns as his face pales
"Here you go, you can schedule your next appointment up front" the nurse smiles giving Elijah the teddy bear and ultrasound pictures
Elijah helped me off the table bed thingy, leading me towards the front of the building.
He squeezed the teddy bears foot, Squirts heartbeat flows loudly out of it bringing tears to Elijah's eyes.
"Are going to cry every time you hear it?" I chuckle wiping the lone tear as it fell. "my little crybaby"
"This is a form of bullying" he murmurs clearing his throat "this is technically my first child, I'm still shocked"
"I'm not bullying you, I'm just genuinely curious" smiling I grabbed his face bring it closer to mines, pressing my lips against his "I love you, Papa for real"
"I love you too" nodding he pecked my lips again before pulling away "I'll go get the truck, make another appointment"
"Okay"

"Babe, your phone has been ringing nonstop please answer it" Elijah groans holding it up using his other hand to turn the steering wheel
"Hello" I mumble into the phone after Elijah answered it for me pushing it to my ear
"La-Lau-Lauren?" the oddly familiar voice stutters out
"Yeah, who's this?" I frown glancing at Elijah, he took the phone from my ear putting it on speaker
"Hailey, Lucas' gi-girlfriend" she mumbles with a sigh "I ne-need your help"
"If it's about Lucas I want no parts of it, the bastard still hasn't apologize"
"He's b-been arrested fo-for a murder he didn't do"
"That's Karma" I chuckle bitterly "if you want my help, get him to apologize and actually mean it"
Elijah hung up before she could say anything else. Turning into our neighborhood he stopped the truck motioning for me to get out.
"Elijah sweetheart, I'll put my foot so far up your ass you'll be coughing shoelaces" I scoff as he unlocks the doors "I'm not getting out"
Geovani appeared beside the my door, opening it he grinned softly.
"Geo, close the door before I hurt you" I tried to do it myself but he stopped me "let go"
"It's time to exercise, Love I'll see you when you get home" Elijah pushes my arm towards Geovani
"You ain't getting no pussy from me no more and don't even think about trying to sleep in my bed" I grumble getting out the truck, slamming the door
Speed walking to our house, Elijah drove past me laughing.
"Good afternoon Lauren" Geovani smirks walking beside me at a normal pace "we're going to start taking walks around the neighborhood more often, take in the scenery you know?"
"If I didn't care or like you, I'd kill you remember that" shoving him away I continued moving towards the house
Why did Elijah pick the house all the way in the back of the neighborhood?
Tripping over a rock I rolled my ankle giving me déjà vu, I did the same thing the night I met Elijah, Alexander, and whatevea the other friend name is.
Geovani caught me in the nick of time, wrapping his arms around me protectively.
"Are you okay? Is the baby okay?" he rambles getting a good look at me "do you need to go to the hospital?"
"We're fine, we aren't meant for this exercising shit"
Geovani rolls his eyes picking me up, walking at a faster pace then he was before. We made it to my house in less than five minutes.
"Did something happen?" Elijah frowns taking me out of Geovani's arms "Babe are you hurt?"
"Just my feelings" I shrug slapping his cheek softly "but in all seriousness, I rolled my ankle"
"I'll check it" he nods going into the house, laying me on the couch he looked at both my ankles, holding my left leg upwards
"Mm the only time you hold my leg up is when you're ponding-" he cut me off by coughing loudly
"Babe, Geovani is right there" Elijah whisper shouts pointing at him briefly "don't talk like that"
"Whatever" rolling my eyes I yawn softly "I'm fine Elijah now leave me alone so I can take a nap"
"Not yet" he shakes his head, he took me in his arms once again going into his office. He laid me on the love sac then tossed my blanket over me. "Okay go ahead, I just wanted you near me"
"Dim the lights" I mumble turning towards him, getting comfortable I watched him turn the light dimmer knob slightly making the office somewhat darker. "Thanks"
Elijah took a seat in his swirly chair, glancing at me he mumbled to himself lowly typing on his laptop.
