The noon sun hung perfectly overhead in the sky, casting a warm, comforting glow. The last remnants of winter's snow had melted, nurturing the newly sprouted flower buds, a testament to the coming of spring. It was a beautiful day, full of hope and possibilities.
With a happy heart, I skipped into our apartment, eager to invite y/n to join me in the beautiful sunshine. However, I didn't have to search for long as I found her cocooned in blankets in the corner of the couch, empty bottles and wrappers scattered on the floor. The TV played the same show from last night, and she wore the same clothes she had worn almost all week. Gazing at her, my smile faded. Her face remained expressionless, and the dark circles under her eyes were nearly as prominent as bruises.

"Y/n, when was the last time you slept?" I asked with deep concern.

"Like 2 days ago?" she nonchalantly replied, her eyes fixed on the TV.

"Two days? Y/n, that isn't healthy," I sighed, taking a seat next to her legs.

"I know, I'm just not sleepy," she shrugged.

"Probably because you've been watching TV for the last 48 hours," I chuckled, patting her knee.

She didn't respond immediately, just sighed and sat up to face me.

"I'm sorry. I'm letting you down, making you take care of me like a helpless baby. That's not how relationships are supposed to work."

"Oh, y/n, that's exactly how it's supposed to be, to a point. I take care of you, and you take care of me. We lift each other up together," I reassured her, lifting her chin.

"I don't deserve you," she softly cried, wrapping her arms around my shoulders.

"Yes, you do. You deserve the world, and I'll do my best to give it to you. Now, let's get you to sleep."

I stood up, taking her hand and helping her off the couch.

"Go grab some fresh clothes, and I'll run you a bath, okay?"

She reluctantly agreed and headed off to our shared bedroom. Sitting on the side of the tub, I drew her a hot bath, complete with candles and bubble bath. I wanted her to have the most relaxing experience.
When she returned with clothes in hand, I helped her into the tub and used my phone to put on her favorite show. As she soaked, I snuck into the kitchen, planning to make her favorite meal, spaghetti and meatballs.

"Oh, y/bf, thank you so much. I love you," y/n cooed, kissing my cheek as I handed her the full plate.

After an hour or so, I was greeted by y/n, wrapped in her bath towel, standing sheepishly in the doorway, smiling.

"How was your bath?" I asked, walking to meet her across the room and handing her the fresh set of clothes she had chosen.

"It was lovely, just like you."

"That's you, sweetheart," I said, kissing her forehead.

"Arms up," I instructed, holding out one of my shirts that she had picked up.

Without complaints, she complied until she was fully dressed. She looked adorable in my clothes, and I couldn't resist hugging her.

"You look so cute and small in my clothes."

"What are you talking about? I'm big," she teasingly scoffed, flexing her 'very big muscles.'

"Oh, my apologies! You're massive," I gasped, playing along as I grabbed her bicep.

"Yeah, I lift every day," she smirked.

"Well, miss 'body builder,' let's get you to bed. You need some rest."

"Good idea," she agreed, jumping onto the bed and wrapping herself in yet another cocoon of blankets.

I couldn't help but smile. How had I gotten so lucky to call this girl mine?

"Sweet dreams, I love you," I whispered, turning off the light.

"Wait!" she called out just as I was about to close the door.

"What is it?"

"I want you," she pleaded, making grabby arms in my direction.

"Whew, I thought you'd forget," I chuckled, sliding into bed right beside her.

She immediately clung to me, resting her head on my chest as her hands found their way into my hair. I loved it when she played with my hair; it made me even happier, as if I could be any happier with her.

"Thanks for taking care of me... I'm so lucky to have you," she yawned, lazily pecking my cheek as she closed her eyes.

If only she knew how lucky I felt to call her mine.

Hope that was ok and not too cheesy!
