{ This is in y/bfs POV }

"Ok, I'll be there soon." I said before hanging up the phone.

My older sister had called to ask me if I could babysit my nephew, n/n. I, of course, said yes because I absolutely love n/n. Plus, how hard could it be? He's just a kid.
Well, that positive attitude was thrown out the window after an hour or so of babysitting n/n. He was an absolute handful! I wanted to give my sister a break, so I did the only logical thing I could think of: I called my girlfriend, y/n.
After just one ring, she picked up.

"Hey y/bf! What's up?" she cheerfully asked.

"Hi y/n. Sorry to bother you, but, uh, do you think you could come help me watch my nephew? I don't think I'm as good with kids as I thought, and I know you're great with them..."

"Of course! I'd love to help watch a cute kid and get to see my hot boyfriend," she laughed, making my cheeks turn slightly red.

"Okay, sounds great! Can't wait to see you! Love you," I grinned, letting out a small sigh of relief.

"Love you too."

Gosh, I really do have the best girlfriend ever. It took her just 10 short minutes to arrive, and I heard a knock at the front door. I rushed to open it, hugging y/n before she could even say hi.

"Thanks so much for coming; you're the best," I thanked, kissing her forehead.

"No problem, I love kids," she giggled, stepping inside. As we talked, I led her to the room where n/n was currently playing.

"Hi n/n!" she greeted.

"Hi," he shyly responded.

"Whatcha playing?" she asked, sitting down beside n/n and the huge pile of blocks he was playing with.

"I'm making a lava castle!" he exclaimed, his face lighting up as he explained his idea.

"Oo, that sounds cool! Need any help?"

"Yeah! Can you start making the lava with me?" n/n asked, handing y/n the orange and red blocks for 'lava.'

And just like that, they started to build, laughing and talking as they went. How was she able to just go play with him so easily? The last time I tried, he threw a block at my head. Needless to say, y/n really did have a way with kids.

"Is there any room for one more?" I asked, standing in the doorway.

"Hmmm... No! No stinky heads allowed," n/n laughed, making y/n laugh as well.

"Hey, that's not very nice!" I protested, walking over to n/n and then picking him up over my shoulder.

"Y/n, help!! The monsters got me!" he squealed, playfully hitting my back.

"I'm coming, n/n!" y/n called, running after us down the hall.

With n/n over my shoulder and y/n not far behind, I ran into the living room, tossing n/n onto the couch before tickling him.

"Help, y/n, help!" he yelled, laughing uncontrollably as I tickled his sides.

"Hey, put him down!" y/n shouted, trying to pull my arm away.

Without warning, I scooped y/n up and threw her over my shoulder, making her squeal.

"Don't worry, y/n, I'll save you! Put her down!" n/n yelled, jumping on my back.

Not realizing that n/n was going to jump on my back, I lost my balance and fell onto the couch, falling on top of y/n.

"Hi there," she smirked, our faces inches away from each other. Smiling, I leaned down to kiss her, making n/n gag.

"Ewwww!!! That's so gross, only mommies and daddies can kiss," he said, covering his eyes.

"Hmm, is that so?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. Playfully, I kissed y/n again.

"Ack! You're an icky face!" n/n shouted, laughing as he threw a pillow at me. Just to tease n/n, I kissed y/n again, this time even longer.

"Ahh!! Gross!" n/n giggled, running out of the living room.

"Wow, that was... wow," y/n said, out of breath.

"Sorry, I got a little carried away," I chuckled, rubbing the back of my neck in embarrassment.

"It's okay; I liked it," she winked, walking down the hall to find n/n.

Man, this girl was going to be the death of me. Walking down the hall, I soon found y/n and n/n sitting in my bed, reading one of the books n/n had brought, as he wouldn't be picked up until late. I couldn't help but watch as she read to him, making me smile as I imagined her with our future kids. It was at this moment I realized she was the one for me, the one I wanted to spend my life with. After standing in the doorway, watching her read to him for a few minutes, I then gently knocked on the doorframe, speaking up.

"Hey, you two, what's going on? In here."

"Y/n's reading me a story," n/n smiled, yawning as he leaned against y/n's shoulder.

"Can I join?" I asked, taking a few steps into my room.

"Of course you can," y/n said, patting the bed beside her.

Walking over to the bed, I sat down by y/n, putting an arm around the two of them as y/n scooted closer into my side. Gosh, I loved this girl so much. Upon finishing the story, n/n was asleep, leaning against y/n, and she leaned on me, also asleep. At that moment, I couldn't help but snap a quick picture, wanting to remember this moment forever, the moment I realized y/n was the one. Not wanting to wake them up, I carefully picked y/n up, taking her to the living room as n/n slept in my room. Upon getting to the living room, I laid y/n down beside me, pulling a blanket over the two of us.

"How'd I get so lucky?" I thought to myself. Not only had I just found the girl I wanted forever, but she's the best girl any guy could have.

Hope that was ok!!
