"Are you sure this is alright?" Hanni asked Yunjin.

"Yeah, it's just for a few weeks anyway. I'll be back after break. Plus, it'll give you time to find a more permanent place," Yunjin answered her closest friend.

"Alright," Hanni was still a bit skeptical about it all but she had no other choice.

- Hanni POV -

I felt uncomfortable living in Yunjin's place for the time being. Especially because she would be out of the country the entire time.

I wanted to go home for break too, but it was too expensive for me to do that.

Usually, I stayed in the same dormitory each break but this time I took too long to submit my application.

"Jeez, do they not eat rice in this house?" I talked to myself as I looked through every cabinet for rice.

I was trying to cook a yummy meal to thank Yunjin's roommate for letting me stay at their place.

"Ah, here we go!" I found just enough rice for the night, tucked into a back corner of one of the cabinets.

I gathered up all the ingredients and prepped everything I needed. I was barely starting to cook when Yunjin's roommate suddenly walked into the apartment.

*YAWWWNNN*

Yunjin's roommate looked tired.

"Hey, I'm making dinner for us tonight!" I tried to greet Y/n.

Y/n and I hadn't officially met. I had just heard a lot about them from Yunjin.

*YAAWWNN*

Y/n just ignored me, walking over to their room as if they didn't hear me.

I tried not to pay too much mind to it and continued cooking. When I was finally done, I walked over to knock on Y/n's door.

*KNOCK, KNOCK*

"Y/n, I made dinner for us!" I yelled through the door.

I got no response.

"It's a thank you dinner for letting me be your roommate. I promise it tastes really good!" I yelled again.

Still, I got no response.

*KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK*

I tried knocking again.

"Y/n, I'll be waiting for whenever you're ready!" I yelled once more before deciding to just wait at the dinner table.

I patiently waited for a bit.

Eventually, an hour went by and the food had gone cold. The excitement from my first day faded and I wasn't even hungry anymore.

I put everything away and headed to bed.

For the next few days, I hardly saw Y/n around the apartment. It almost felt like I lived alone. Even when I did see Y/n... Y/n would just ignore me... it's like I didn't exist.
