You sighed and looked at your dress one more time.

'You look great Y/N, can we go now? Almost everyone is there already.' Your best friend Lavender spoke.

You nodded and the two of you walked towards the great hall. The corridors were empty. You hurried towards the great hall and saw Cedric. He smiled at you.

'Wauw... you look-'

He wanted to say something and quickly shut up when someone else walked passed you, Cho. You looked at him and raised your brows.

'Seriously Cedric?' You asked. 'Seriously?! I'm right here and again your looking at her!'

'Y/N... please I-'

'Do you have any idea how long it took me to get this look done?! I did this for you because you have a champion dance and I didn't want to embarrass you. Can't you just keep your eyes of your ex for, like, one evening?'

'I'm sorry... I will. Promise.'

You sighed and walked towards him. You grabbed his hand and walked with him. A curtain boy named Oliver Wood has been staring at the scene. He thought you looked beautiful in your Gryffindor dress, the most beautiful girl on this ball. He wanted to ask you, but since you and Cedric were dating he didn't dare to ask you.

Now he just saw how bad Cedric was treating you and he felt bad for you. He knew you were very kind and a lovely person, to good for this world... so good that you didn't see what was going on... he clearly had feelings for his ex.

He didn't even had a date. He didn't feel like asking anyone and just hoped that he made more chance on dancing with you. He sighed and the champions dance was about to begin.

You hooked your arm with his and Cedric's and he smiled at you. You smiled back. Maybe you shouldn't have been so angry at him. He was a good guy and you know he liked you. The doors to the great hall opened and you walked in through the applauding students.

You stopped on the dance floor and turned to Cedric. He placed his hand on your waist and you grabbed him the proper way so you could dance. He led you across the floor and picked you up when he had to. You smiled and slowly more people joined in. At the end of the song you stopped and he kissed the top of your head. You smiled at him and gave him a hug.

'Let's get something to drink.' Cedric spoke.

The rock music was already playing. You walked towards the table with the drinks. Cedric handed you a cup and you took a sip.

'Thank you.' You smiled.

'No problem gorgeous.' He smiled.

You blushed and press your lips shortly against his. He smiled at you and took another sip.

'Hi Y/N!'

You turned around and saw Hermione in a beautiful dress and Viktor.

'Hi! You guys looked great.' You smiled.

'You too! That dress is so beautiful! No wonder a lot of guys are staring at you.' Hermione winked.

'Oh shut up. You know... I'm here with Cedric and he's my only one.' You smiled.

'Where is he then?' Viktor asked.

You turned around and saw that Cedric was gone.

'What? He was just here... excuse me for a moment.'
