On the drive to the restaurant, TJ took his right hand off the steering wheel and grabbed your left hand. The drive was nice and quiet because the nightlife of San Diego was perfect. Passing by cars, people, and local restaurants the drive was starting to poke at your curiosity. You knew it was going to be a fancy place because TJ told you, but you couldn't help but think where this place was.

The car pulled up to the restaurant where a car valet stand stood outside the restaurant. The valet guy offered to park the car for us, and TJ let him, you know to be polite. TJ held your hand and entered the fancy building.

The waitress greeted you, "Welcome to Mister A's. Just the two of you?"

TJ nodded, "Yes ma'am."

She smiled, "Right this way."

The waitress seated you two and took our drink orders, both of you got water since neither one of you drink wine or alcohol of any sorts. Once the waitress walked away your eyes bugged out.

"What the hell? This place is like uber fancy! This is like John Cena and Nikki Bella fancy," you said.

He chuckled, "I know. I just wanted to take you somewhere nice for once that's not local or that everyone goes too."

You smiled, "Awww, TJ. Thank you, sweetheart."

He smiled back, "Anything to make you happy."

The waitress came back and set our drinks down. She asked if both of you were ready to order, and you two were. Both of you placed your orders in and enjoyed not only the company but the view this restaurant had. Lucky for you, the table was right next to the window so both of you had an incredible view of San Diego.

After the fancy dinner at Mister A's, TJ and you strolled around a park for a couple of hours before the night came to a close. Both TJ and you walked hand in hand talking about anything under the sun, or moon. The conversation ranged from childhood memories, struggling pasts, wrestling, and the future.

"I just hope one day I can make you truly happy," TJ said.

You slightly pouted, "I'm always happy when it comes to you."

"That's good to hear because your parents and I talked one day," TJ started off with.

"About what," you asked, but you knew where he was getting at.

"Remember that day when I took you back to your parents place so you could get your stuff and bring it to my place," TJ asked.

You nodded, "Yeah, I remember. What about it?"

He continued, "Well... your parents asked if you were happy being with me, and I said you were. I told them even though we have small arguments, we still love each other. And well, your father stood up from his chair, shook my hand and told me, 'when that day comes, you have my permission.'"

You stopped and looked at him "confused", "What do you mean by that?"

He turned around and stood in front of you, "Your dad gave me his permission to marry you one day, and at some point in the future... I'm going to make that happen."

Even though you low-keyed knew, it brought tears to your eyes. TJ saw the tears brimming in your shiny e/c eyes and brought you closer to him for a loving hug. After the long, loving hug both of you looked up and saw a street lamp illuminating both figures.

"I feel like we're about to get murdered," you joked.

"Yeah, if we were in a horror movie. But to me, I say this is a romance movie," TJ said.

You giggled, "There's something wrong with you, I swear."

He smiled, "There is something wrong with me... and it's you."

You looked away disgusted, "Ew, that was the cheesiest line I've ever heard."

He laughed, "Hey, I worked hard on that line."

You laughed again while TJ pulled you close again, but this time... for a kiss. His lips molded with yours as the night felt young to the both of you. Fireworks were shooting off inside you, like every time, as the kiss lasted longer than normal. He broke the kiss and rested his forehead on yours as his hands still held onto your waist.

"I think we should head back to the hotel," TJ said in a low quiet voice.

"I don't wanna," you confessed.

He smiled, "First you didn't wanna leave the bed, and now you don't wanna leave the park. What am I gonna do with you."

You smiled back, "You said you were going to marry me in the future."

He peeled his forehead off of yours, "That I did say. Come on, let's go."

TJ took your hand and walked back to the car. Both of you made it to the car and got in. The engine started as the drive back to the hotel was silent once again.

--

Reaching the hotel, you somehow made it back to the room, because you were starting to get tired. Unlocking the door, your shoes were the first to go, then your makeup, and then your dress. You changed in the bathroom into pajamas as TJ changed in the main room. Leaving the bathroom, you dove into the bed sheet and snuggled up to TJ, who made nothing but shorts on. He kissed your forehead before closing his eyes, but you were already passed out.
